The Talk Shows
April 15th, 2012
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Ed Gillespie, adviser to Republican presidential candidate Newt Romney; David Axelrod, adviser to President Barack Obama's re-election campaign.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner; Democratic political strategist Hilary Rosen; Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Geithner; Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Geithner.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Reince Priebus, chairman of the Republican National Committee.
Has Timothy Geithner released his tax returns for the last 12 years? The NYT needs a new #1 on their fictional best seller list.
Good for you Fish. My situation backfired on the Party heads and tomorrow they are going to have an interesting follow-up meeting. When me and my partner walked out of the two reps of the Committee my partner said, “You spent two hours on that?”
It was a joke that was nothing more than throwing mud at the wall and hoping it would stick. The irony is, the two Reps said this made me stronger by drawing attention to what we are doing.
Hang tough, you are doing the right thing by bailing and let it die a natural death in the swamps. Thanks for the prayers.
Pray for America
Has Obama released his college transcripts? Question of the day though, why doesn’t he write a check to the Treasury is he thinks millionaires should pay their fair share?
Yes a beautiful day. And due to those beautiful flowers my allergies are on big time and I will just have to suffer through my sinus headache today! The Chinese privat and Japanese honeysuckle are in full bloom. Did I tell you how much I hate those plants? Worse than kudzu, imho...
I think the Romney campaign is the Rubicon for the RINOs.
They have spent decades saying they are the only ones who can win and they never win. Their Big Lie has to end in November or the Republican party will end.
The only third way is the way you are going, Fishtalk—the Tea Party.
When Romney loses, the Tea Party MUST incorporate as a for-real political party and by 2014 it MUST have its candidate picked and already running for 2016.
If the Oregon conservatives think your writings are a bit strong then they are too politically correct and need to reevaluate their thinking. It would have been better had they unabashedly supported what you had written.
No doubt somebody will take your essays out of context, too.
Still, the goal should be to show how mainstream your views are and it is the Left and the Moderates who are out of touch.
Timothy Gertner says not to worry about the deficit, it’s not a problem.
This clown is our Secretary of the Treasury. Didn’t pay his taxes for many years, America had to have, or so went Obama’s plea.
Bray, you there?
How did that thing go last week? You still got a grass roots thing going on?
Newt Romney? LOL
I asked about this upthread. So glad it worked out for you.
Dear Lord, they didn’t like some of your posts on FreeRepublic? You write GREAT stuff, nothing at all insulting.
I’m telling you Bray, me and you gonna head up the new Tea Party. This Republican party’s not for us.
Oh, and you’re right about that FreeRepublic lurk. They watch me all the time.
It's great to look ahead for a better day - and in past days I would have felt the same - but I fear you are far too optomistic.
If Romney loses (Obama wins), America is done for. I foresee there will be total economic disaster, widespread violence, and a violent breakup as the country goes into terminal collapse. China and others will march in to pick up the choice pieces - with the complicity of their Liberal friends who will be ruthless in their ongoing quest to hold on to power against their political and cultural enemies in the hinterlands.
Good morning, Rod. I find it interesting that Gregory makes the issue of women the centerpiece of today’s show. It is all about the Dem’s strategy of divert and distract from Obama’s record and policies. The so-called “War on Women” is just another manufactured issue and the MSM aids and abets it.
I’m sorry to hear you say this, not because I don’t think it’s true, but because it is!
Have we no recourse? I very much want to see real conservatives take over and remove the RINOs, not the other way round.
Here in Alabama, the Republican party IS the conservative party and vice versa. In fact, as a catholic, they’re even a little too religious for me! That’s due to the fact that most are Southern Baptist, which often misrepresent our faith. Still, an excellent teaching opportunity for a catholic apologist. But back on topic, it’s hard for me to comprehend dealing directly with a bunch of liberals calling themselves Republicans.
I still desire to see the frevor of the TEA partiers back in the limelight and the TEA party consuming the RINOs, not the other way around. Why did so many leave politics after 2010?
Fish, we are taking it the other way. I was at the Tea Party yesterday where Breitbert’s video editor spoke about great stuff coming out about OB’s past. Two out of the three county chairs were there and always have been. It is only ours that is not complete Tea Party owned as is most of the state.
Her attack on me only made my influence stronger and we are moving forward on stopping Light Rail this Weds. We are taking over the Oregon GOP with the Tea Party.
Mega dittos, bray.
If Romney doesn’t live up to his promises, we can look around for an alternative ... (I mean during his term) but I’m hoping and praying that he means what he’s been saying.
And we know that Obama means what he’s been saying, even accidentally caught on an open mike.
I wish you hadn’t done that, Fish, but your choice.
I always think fighting from within is better unless there is actually a viable alternative organization yu can join.
Alas, the Tea Party has become a philosophy rather than a display. We are organizing while they are demonstrating which will have much more effect in the elections.
I have written a manual that is very effective for making us stronger and more effective in our grassroot campaigns. It is the other reason they wanted to remove me but couldn’t find anything wrong with it. We are dragging them kicking and screaming.
Pray for America
If Romney should lose (God forbid) it will take decades for the country to climb out of the financial ruin and international chaos he will have created.
You can better help your cause by working for truly conservative congressional candidates.
