Unless hes being misquoted and theres no reason to believe he is based on his track record when it comes to the Governor, Ailes isnt even publicly hiding it anymore:
Roger Ailes says Sarah Palin had no chance to be President.
Ailes, on Sarah Palin: Anyone think she had a chance to be president? Says she, others are picked solely for ratings.
Its tough to conclude from these public assertions from Ailes that he has any respect for Governor Palin. From my vantage point, the Governor appeared to be alluding to Ailes and his news network at times in her interview with Levin yesterday.

Correction: Meant siding not citing.
I’m doing my part. Haven’t watch Fox in months.
Maybe she should leave Fox, and Mr. Ailes is doing whatever he can to impel her to leave.
His statement doesn’t make sense, the one about hiring her only for ratings, if in fact she really has high negatives. It may very well be that in reality he is still a conservative who realizes there is nothing she can do for the nation at FNC, and she must go politically rogue.
She is very popular with the Conservatives and the Tea Party. I suspect the attack against Mr.Murdock’s news empire is what has resulted in an about face on the part of Fox News Channel. Mr. Ailes has been conservative for a very long time and I suspect he really hasn’t changed politically, just that the environment at FNC has altered considerably.
You’ll notice that Fox News canned Fox Business’s Judge Napolitano show where at one point he talked about the failure of the two party system.
Then you’ll note Glenn beck left and he was upset at the GOP. Said at CPAC that republican progressives run the party in 2010.
Then Eric Bolling lost his Fox Buisness show and you’ll note if you see the Five that he goes off GOP script a bunch and argues with Dana Perino.
Then you will note that Hannity was silenced on the birther issue and sent home from a 2010 tea party event he was to cover.
So obviously, Fox News is starting to mess up. I wonder if being in New York City is the wrong place to be for a “conservative” network.
Only Cavuto and maybe Megyn Kelly and Fox and Friends are left at Fox News that I don’t feel has yet been 100% rooting for Slick Willard.
But even Megyn Kelly jumped the shark with recent comments thrashing C-Span as boring compared to Fox News when C-Span covers some conservative events like CPAC and Fox News don’t.
They hired Sarah to keep her out of the race. They knew she would energize the conservatives and the independents. Look at the past events with her. 20,000/40,000 crowds. They are fearful she will still make a leap into either helping Newt or by having an opening at a brokered convention. Sure wish her and Newt would team up to take on the media and the ruling empires. The American people would be so motivated in knowing reforms were possible. I think they fear this still can happen since Romney does not have this tied up. Something could come out on Romney still. They must be nervous. Romney has not been winning majorities. A conservative surge would crush Romney. They had to stop Reagan but they could not because of all of us. If they think Romney is strong, we know Palin or Newt could beat Obama(w/ reforms alone)
No, they'll be worse, and for the same reason Willard will lose badly in November: real Progs beat fake conservatives, every time.
Does Ailes really think Progs are going to boost Fox News’ ratings by pandering to them? He's a fool if he does - they have far too many options that they can trust to look after their interests.
It feel like Fox news altered the same way CNN did in 07-08 when they were trying to get Obama elected. Not much different between what they did and Fox News is doing now trying to get Willard elected. Shilling out all credibility to get their stooge elected.
Good posts and comments.
You sure got that right-it looks like everyone in the media and of the political sphere are doing this -the true conservatives are the only ones who seem to understand what is happening.
Sarah Palin must get her priorities straight.
If her number one priority is her family, then quit FNC and go home, period.
The big money isn’t worth working with people who intensely dislike and disparage you, particularly your values. She must do what is right and I suspect she is dithering, though I hope not.
As for Romney, he is a fascist (a progressive) with money who is trying to buy the Presidency. He has bought people, which I find disgusting, as loyalty cannot be truly bought.
So we are left with BHO2 the communist and Romney the fascist being pushed by competeing news channels. I see the perfect opportunity for a sneak assault by the Tea Party, under the radar, with Palin and Gingrich.
A lot can be done when the big guys are only watching one another.
Someone in powerful position, needs to talk to both Newt and Palin and persuade them to do this for their country. Like Reagan, once it begins, no one could stop them. The powers to be realize this. If only the conservatives would fight together, we could keep him from getting his 1144. At least, we would have a chance to get a new person who has a better chance to beat Obama.
We don’t watch Fox nearly as much as we used to. I liked them better when they were reporting and I was deciding. This so called fair and balanced crap is so wishy washy. I mean they hired the daughter of Jesse Jerkson!
I live in Chicago. Now I have to watch these left wing nut jobs not only on local news but also on FNC? Nope, I won’t watch FNC anymore.
Progressives have always run the Republican Party. Starting with Lincoln it was always controlled by Progressives, even before the term was coined.
I don’t watch it either.
I am tired of the Left choosing everything for us. Quit listening to their BS and start fighting them with their own ways. You don’t have to lie.
Translation: "We would have seen to it that she didn't win the Presidency."
