Untenable? Yes, indeed. It will come down to Romney or Obama. Nothing there for a conservative, but working at the local level at least offers a foundation or a base to work from. And make no mistake, those of us at the local level are working and praying...and not being hysterical..

Why should I want to revisit being insulted by a pack of animal worshiping, environmentalist NIMBYs led by a few domineering, old robber-hags? They're all dependent on their government incomes, pensions or government-dependent services. Did that for several years around 2000, and it was like being threatened by sideshow freaks.

It's better to stay out of their way, while they gobble up their own debt regime with their Democrat political partners in crime. They'll continue to toss irrelevant/false accusations at others while screeching about non-existent "property values," being swallowed up by their imminent wave of foreclosures and moving back to their cities because of their sedentary ways. Typically I find the loudest, most strident keyboard commando's on message forums are actually doing.....absolutely nothing to advance conservatism where it counts in real life. Rarely are they really involved at the local or state level, rarely do they attend party meetings, etc, etc.
