there are many here pimping for RINOmny

Voting against Obama is not necessarily voting for Romney...Changing the party does not come by not electing its presidential candidate...do you think the prospective RINO Senate Committee chairs care a hoot about who is president? They only care about their own chairmanships...

You want to change the party, you vote down ticket as you say for conservatives in house and senate, and get them to lean on the RINO president, if thats the way things go. You keep the fire lit under him the entire time he is there. You don't gain anything by leaving Obama in power.

This thought that 8 years of Bush led us to Obama is hogwash. Intolerance of the so-called (intolerant) conservative to the point of staying home on election night led us to Obama. If staying away from the election booth because McCain was a RINO was supposed to do the party good, explain what that good was please. Explain how that has helped the country please.

The 2010 TEA party movement was a rebellion against Obama and the libs, and yes, big government RINO's, not a rebellion against Bush.

Romney is my last choice and I would have preferred Palin or Newt, but Palin did not follow through and, barring some miracle, Newt ain't going to be the one. I would love to see a Newt upset between now and the convention. But if that does not happen, I will vote ABO even if its Romney because I can raise hell via the congressional Reps to keep him in line if he goes "stupid" while in Office. Obama will not pay one bit of attention to the congressional wishes or the electorate.

I really like and value FR. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. But all the "my way or the highway" attitude is really a turnoff, and I have been watching it escalate lately, or so it seems. Someone made a comment recently about FR marginalizing itself as an extreme site, and I am starting to believe that is what I am seeing. I find myself avoiding the political threads just because I don't have time or energy to devote to the arguing I know will ensue if I make a comment.

I am not looking for anyone's flame or wrath or ban, and not looking to be on JimRob's radar, but this is the honest opinion of one conservative veteran voter.

With utmost respect to Jim and all those in support of his position, I agree with most all of your concerns and thoughts regarding Romney as nominee, but show me a viable alternative to the disaster of Obama. Without this, the Romney complaints are starting to sound like the rants of spoiled kids.

I am signing off now and probably will ignore replies, certainly will ignore the flames I expect will proceed. I expect my thoughts here to fall on deaf ears...but I have been biting my tongue on this subject for some time now and after so many of the "Never Vote Romney" threads where folks like me who believe its most important to rid ourselves of Obama are called "pimps", I felt the need to speak up at least this time.

FRegards

It shows how weak the position of many here actually is when the second they suspect someone of voting against that obama thing they moronically whine “romney supporter!!!” Same clowns probably ‘think’ Ike was a Commie for taking sides with the Russians to kill Nazis.

but show me a viable alternative to the disaster of Obama

Geez, there is only one conservative in the race. Weird, I can't see how that could be missed. The reason he is viable is because the media and the GOP E doesn't want him.

He doesn't have the liberal media wall of protection around him like Mitt does. They want to save him for Barry, he's easy pickings. And the GOP e doesn't want WeThePeople candidate as Newt is they want to keep control and need a candidate they can control. Newt follows the Constitution so that makes WeThePeople in control. That's a no no to the power hungry.

You want to change the party

No desire to. They refuse to change, SOS every election cycle. I'll leave them on their own - Conservatives have nothing in common with them.

on the RINO president

There won't be a rino president this time. There are only two candidates, one is conservative Newt and one is Liberal Mitt.

“Voting against Obama is not necessarily voting for Romney”

There is no lever named “Against Obama”
The lever you pull will be labeled Willard Romney.

Supporters of Willard Romney, who are here promoting him, are Romney pimps.
If you are not doing that, it clearly didn’t refer to you.
