Romney is a pathological compulsive liar. Lie after lie papered over with more lies. Doesn’t even flinch when caught in bald faced lies, simply tells another big whopper to cover up or dodge the issue. Funny thing, the man actually seems to believe his own latest lies and simply ignores the glaring record of his past actions/lies. And you have true blue establishment elite RINO Republicans like Karl Rove enabling and backing up his lies. Their motivation is simply to hang on to power (and riches) any way they can.

I’ve stated many times since Romney started running for the presidency way back when that I’d never vote for him and I will not. He cannot lie his way out of his decades long record of support for abortion, Roe v Wade, planned parenthood, gay rights, gun control, global warming, amnesty, liberal judges, big government, compulsory or socialized health care (RomneyCommieCare), mandates, Keynesian economics, support and approval of TARP, bailouts, stimulus packages, i.e, every damn liberal progressive issue that comes down the pike.

C’mon. These are the reasons the tea party sprang up and the reasons he and Rove loathe the tea party and our tea party conservative candidates. Romney famously expressed his loathing for Reagan-Bush conservatism several years ago when he was trying to run to the left of Ted Kennedy and now he’s cloaking himself in Reagan conservatism, knowing full well that it’s a lie, but he knows it’s the only way he can possibly win, er buy the Republican nomination.

Screw Romney!! I absolutely will not support or vote for a proven compulsive liar with a known record of abortion and big government socialism, liberal appointments, etc. He still lies about RomneyCommieCare today. Calls it a “conservative solution.” Get real!!

I agree with you. We are lost. Romney robbed our party and our nation of the primary we richly and desperately deserved, but it's not over yet, despite his $45 Million in vicious attack ads against his two top rivals he all but destroyed in his insatiable lust for power.

It's not quite mid April and a lot can happen between now and August. We never know what God has in store for any of us, including Romney or Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin... or insert another name.

I stand with you Jim, you are absolutely correct in this.

What many folks don't seem to fully understand is that the elites of the GOP have no interest in returning to the conservative principles which led to a 44 state landslide in 1980 by Ronald Reagan, and a 49 state re-election landslide in '84. How did that happen? It happened by nominating a man who would certainly have been one of the Founding Fathers had he lived in that era. After decades of 'Rats and RINOs playing all sorts of fiscal games at home, Reagan unleashed the might of America's economy, got government out of the way, and we saw the largest peacetime expansion EVER in these United States.

And in the global arena? Again, after decades of 'detente' with the Soviets, more or less agreeing that they had every right to their 'sphere of influence', Reagan approached the issue with a very simple statement about the Cold War: "we win, they lose" and he set about to make it happen, and by God we all saw it happen. No 'Rat or RINO would have ever dared try it, because they quite frankly didn't have the spine (nor the BALLS).

Mitt Romney disavowed the conservative principles of Reaganism, ran to the LEFT of DFT Kennedy (Dead Fat Teddy) and if Romney IS the GOP nominee, we will be reminded once more of the words of the late Governor George C. Wallace who said in 1968 "there ain't a dime's worth of difference between the Democrat and Republican Parties!"

I see these RINO surrender monkeys with their 'ABO' mantra, and their plaintive wailing about "ohhhh we MUST get rid of 0bama, America won't SURVIVE another 4 years of 0bama!" and while that siren song is awfully tempting and persuasive to fall for, the fact is: it is GARBAGE.

Let's presume that 0bama IS re-elected in November. Is there ANYONE here on Free Republic, or in the American heartland that truly believes that from January 20, 2013, to January 20, 2017, that Barack Insane 0bama will actually destroy the United States and shovel all of us on to that proverbial ash heap of history?

I say ** HELL NO!! ** and here is why:

America has faced dark times before. America has been counted out by her enemies, adversaries, even some of her friends, but the fact is America is GREATER and STRONGER than any one man, or any group of radical Commies, dipshits and traitors like 0bama and his crew, they may think they have America on the road to a left-fascist tyranny, that they're going to transform us into some freakin Euro-Weenie socialist state, BUT THEY ARE NOT and WILL NOT!!

There are simply too many of us, and not enough of them. I care not if 0bama has his dubious presidential authority on the nuclear button, or is in control of our military forces, because minus the advanced military hardware, WE THE PEOPLE are the military forces of this Nation (see 'militia') and WE reserve the right to stop, transform or DISSOLVE the federal regime in Washington if we so choose!

IF 0bama is re-elected, we will all continue to resist, fight in every way possible, we will BE the obstacles that prevent that little Kenyan turd from accomplishing what his Communist mentors have been hoping for, WE will say "this far and no further" and if there is to be a Second American Revolution, so be it: however WE will not be the ones to initiate hostilities, it will be the federal goons and thugs in Washington who will overreach like all tyrannies do, and when that happens every American will "know what to do".

Now as for Mitt-Witt?

I've said it before, and I'll say it once more: if 0bama is re-elected, America will have the bottle of socialism poured down her throat against her will, that much is true, but if Romney were President? That same socialist swill is going to be poured down our throats, except via ornate crystal goblets as befits someone of Romney's 'stature' (cough-choke-gag-puke).

Romney is a bloody big government statist, he is as much about expanding the role of the federal bureaucracy as any liberal 'Rat, he is just as much a progressive snake as 0bama, although he is a snake in a tuxedo, and he 'looks' the part, hell - Romney could have come straight out of central casting for this acting role he's in, and that is ALL it is, it's an ACT because he is a multi-faced LIAR, he has NO principles except the expedient ones which will get him votes when he needs them, he is a say-anything, do-anything egotistical sonuvabitch who is doing the very same thing that George W. Bush did in 2000 (whether anyone wants to admit it or not), and that is to redeem and avenge the name of his daddy, for GWB it was Poppy RINO, turned out after just one term, for Mitt-Witt the goal is to redeem the name of George Romney who was the perceived unstoppable juggernaut of 1968, just before his words about being 'brainwashed' on a visit to Vietnam were smacked upside his head, his momentum collapsed, and it was Nixon who won the White House that year.
