A reminder for those who are not receiving the message:
Romney is a pathological compulsive liar. Lie after lie papered over with more lies. Doesnt even flinch when caught in bald faced lies, simply tells another big whopper to cover up or dodge the issue. Funny thing, the man actually seems to believe his own latest lies and simply ignores the glaring record of his past actions/lies. And you have true blue establishment elite RINO Republicans like Karl Rove enabling and backing up his lies. Their motivation is simply to hang on to power (and riches) any way they can.
Ive stated many times since Romney started running for the presidency way back when that Id never vote for him and I will not. He cannot lie his way out of his decades long record of support for abortion, Roe v Wade, planned parenthood, gay rights, gun control, global warming, amnesty, liberal judges, big government, compulsory or socialized health care (RomneyCommieCare), mandates, Keynesian economics, support and approval of TARP, bailouts, stimulus packages, i.e, every damn liberal progressive issue that comes down the pike.
Cmon. These are the reasons the tea party sprang up and the reasons he and Rove loathe the tea party and our tea party conservative candidates. Romney famously expressed his loathing for Reagan-Bush conservatism several years ago when he was trying to run to the left of Ted Kennedy and now hes cloaking himself in Reagan conservatism, knowing full well that its a lie, but he knows its the only way he can possibly win, er buy the Republican nomination.
Screw Romney!! I absolutely will not support or vote for a proven compulsive liar with a known record of abortion and big government socialism, liberal appointments, etc. He still lies about RomneyCommieCare today. Calls it a conservative solution. Get real!!
Listen to what Ronald Reagan had to say about the elites pushing socialism on America via compulsory health insurance:
Ronald Reagan speaks out against RomneyCommieCare
There will be no campaign for this Massachusetts liberal liar on FR!!
Damn the libs and RINOS, full steam ahead!!
But no matter what happens we must turn out in November to vote IN as many conservatives and vote OUT as many rats as possible at all levels of government. If we don't have a conservative at the top of the ticket we must turn out anyway and vote straight conservative DOWN ticket!! Just think of it an off cycle election and pour on the TEA!! It'll be doubly important that we control both houses of congress and as many statehouses as possible.
Restore the 10th amendment!! Impeach the leftist president whoever he may be!! Restore Liberty!! Rebellion comes from the bottom up!!
WOO HOO!! I CAN SEE NOVEMBER FROM MY HOUSE!!
No Bama!! No Romney!! Go tea party rebellion!!
Defeatism is not realistic. If The Founders had been “realistic” we’d still be a colony.
I will put my conservative “credentials” up against yours, or any other melon brain that ever touched a keyboard.
ANYBODY that would passively allow obsama to have another term under any circumstances, has absolutely no right to call himself an American. Our chance to get a conservative candidate was during the primaries. There will be another chance in four years - that is if there still IS an United States by then.
And let me be the first to say it, if Ron Paul hands this election over to the communists by running as a Libertarian, he is a traitor and so is anyone that supports him.
[I think Gingrich and Santorum get along much better...]
Within the coming days, Santorum has to make an important decision.
Will he sacrifice his ‘beliefs’ of true Conservatism for a temporary power position with Romney or will he prove himself to everyone he stands solidly behind his spoken ‘campaign words’.
This tread by Jim, if nothing more, has separated the wheat from the chafe and when it comes to Santorum the same will be evident with which path he walks down.
I will be voting for Newt in the Texas Primary in May. Unfortunately, the Romulan coronation has already taken place because the Republican establishment allows crossover democrats and RINOS in conservative stronghold states like New Hampshire and Iowa to determine our candidate.
I am ABO and voting for Romney.
Judge Robert Bork is leading Romney’s judicial selection panel for all district and appellate court appointments. This is good enough for me. I don’t believe Bork is a RINO or worse.
Four more years of Obama and we won’t have a nation to fight over in 2016.
My two cents to this thread: Obama and his EO's and SCOTUS nominations scare me to death for my children. I will vote for a box of corn flakes before I stay home and be a part of his re-election.
and FReepers were a lot smarter in those days

You are assuming that all of these are really Freepers(conservatives). I would love to know how many are really Demonrats trying to get other Freepers to stay home so their lord and master, Barry Soetoro can win. He needs 4 more years to complete his coup.
I see this a lot. Who said we're staying home? We SAID we won't vote for Romney. Presidential isn't the only ticket in November. The primaries are NOT over and Romney does NOT have 1144.
Realism is what prevents a 110 lb skinny kid from fighting a 300 lb martial arts master. It's what prevents a little country with no army from attacking a big country with a big army. It's why we have divisions in college football, weight classes in boxing, sports leagues split between men and women, etc. When the score of a football game is 45-0 in the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter, sometimes you face reality, pull your starters and plan for how to move forward to the next match.
It's okay to reach for the stars, but at various points in life reality sets in and one sometimes has to adjust for it.
The numbers are NOT with Mitt

Mitt Romney must win over 60% of all remaining hard delegates to secure the GOP nomination. Surprised?
19 states still need to be heard from, and of those states 869 hard delegates are available at the state and district level (discounting the 37 total delegates available between Indiana and Arkansas, which have proportionality rules only a democrat could love). State and committee GOP delegates number about 69, which Im throwing into my calculations as a given for Romney.
Nevertheless, Romney still needs 663 delegates to reach that magic 1144 number.
Can he do it?
Of the 11,280,792 votes cast so far, Romney has accumulated 4,595,908 or only about 41%. Typically, Romney does not garner more than an average of 44% of the vote. Santorum averaged about 25% of the vote. Even if half of Santorums supporters vote for Mitt, this still does not give him the necessary 60+ % to secure the GOP nomination.
[All data from http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/republican_vote_count.html].
And yet in 1776, the skinny kid did exactly that. And won. Despite those who cried in fear. It's no different now.
Exactly. I guess the frightened sheep can't count.
You actually believe we would be better off voting in as many conservatives as possible and having Obama in office than if we voted in as many conservatives as possible and had Romney?
With Obama in office, even the RINO’s will oppose him. Virtually no Republicans will stand up to Romney. Why is it that more conservative goals were accomplished during Clinton’s 8 years than during 12 years under the Bushes.
2nd
I wanted Herman Cain before the Cain Train was derailed by those bogus sexual harassment/affair charges from those women (and I *STILL* believe they were bogus). Then I wanted Perry...Bachmann....Rick or Newt. I’m still clinging to hope for Newt. He was my choice for the GA primary.
My only quibble with NOT voting for the lesser of two evils (Romney) is, how do we get rid of Obamacare if SCOTUS does the unthinkable and lets it stand? I think that SURELY Roberts-Scalia-Thomas-Alito + Kennedy will do the right thing...and then I remember the Kelo decision. Even if we retain the majority in the House and gain the majority in the Senate, would we have the 2/3 necessary to override Obummer’s inevitable veto? IF we can believe him, at least Romney has pledged to get rid of Obamacare.
Jim, we are not yet defeated. Per Alinsky they want us to feel defeated but if you look at the real facts it looks difficult but not impossible to prevent Romney from winning the Nomination.
Romney only has 535 committed delegates now. There are not too many winner take all States left to win. And the pattern for Romney in proportional states is he wins urban but not rural areas. SO, if people come out to vote enough and continue to vote the Not-Romney ticket he will be denied the 1444 he needs. The GOPe and Dems want us to feel defeated when we are not.
And a push to “Vote Not-Romney & Take It To The Convention” is not subject to Rove’s Negative attack machine. It is possible we can still stop him if we spread the word far enough. Continue voting not-Romney and help get not-Romney delegates for the convention.
If Obama gets re-elected he will have a mandate.

if he gets re-elected by the end of 4 more years we will probably have his real goal...single payer.
Look at this thread. The sheep are buying what the elitists are selling. That doesn't mean that I won't fight back by posting the truth but herding sheep is tiring. ;-)
God Bless Jim for being the constant voice of conservatism and principles.

Romney backs Obama on abortion, the stimulus, TARP, war time tables, gun control laws, amnesty for illegals, government mandated healthcare:
