- During a meeting with 18 Delaware Tea Party leaders here on Wednesday, Newt Gingrich lambasted The Fox News Channel, accusing the cable news network that employed him as recently as last year of having been in the tank for Mitt Romney from the beginning of the Republican presidential fight and singling out former colleagues for attacking him out of what he characterized as personal jealousy.
I think Fox has been for Romney all the way through, Gingrich said during the private meeting at Wesley College to which RealClearPolitics was granted access. In our experience, Callista and I both believe CNN is less biased than Fox this year. We are more likely to get neutral coverage out of CNN than we are of Fox, and were more likely to get distortion out of Fox. Thats just a fact.
Gingrichs contract as a Fox News contributor was terminated last spring, as he was gearing up for his White House run.
The former House Speakers blunt remarks about Fox came in response to a question from one of the Delaware Tea Party leaders about the manner in which his campaign has been treated by conservative media outlets.
Gingrich did not pull his punches in accusing Rupert Murdoch -- the chairman and CEO of the News Corporation, Fox News parent company -- of pushing for Romney behind the scenes.
I assume its because Murdoch at some point said, I want Romney, and so fair and balanced became Romney, Gingrich said. And theres no question that Fox had a lot to do with stopping my campaign because such a high percentage of our base watches Fox.
Gingrich saved his most personal condemnation for George Will, a conservative columnist and frequent television commentator, who has been critical ...(read more)

Yes. Some of us are business people who need to travel to meet clients on a regular basis. It's actually fairly common but you wouldn't know anything about that. And you think that makes me an idiot. Okay.
But yes, you were trolling here just a couple of weeks ago and I wasted my time responding to you.
You don't listen to Rush's show, but you bleat that Rush supports Romney. It is clear to those of us who do listen to Rush on a regular basis that he is ambivalent about - - and even suspicious of - - Romney. Rush plays it close to the vest but I got the impression he preferred Gingrich. Rush's brother voted for Santorum in the primary and I think Rush likes Santorum, too. Whatever.
The thing is, you're a liar, and I have no time for liars.
So post away, you scumbag. I don't know or care what your game is, but I won't be posting to you again.
Hey, Katsie, where ya’ been lately? Busy, huh.
The thread trolls are have been singing soprano all over FR since it’s NEWT left standing, after all. Broke, yes, but still the MAN—the only grown up in the race.
If he wants TAMPA, he will be there in his signature style.
Can’t wait!

Gentlemen:
I have watched Fox News for many years. I recently have noticed a huge shift to being disingenuous, false and unreliable in your reporting. Obviously, you are for Romney.
Many of your viewers know Rove is associated with a SUPERPAC which is being used by Romney against Gingrich called Restore Our Future. Yet he is brought onto Fox as an analyst who supposedly is neutral.
Furthermore, your station quoted the nonpartisan tax center as being an authority in their criticism of Gingriches tax plan. Because I have been noticing your obvious bias in your reporting, I looked on the internet to investigate this center. Guess what? They are liberal and not worthy of Fox News to use as a credible source. Gingrich has sent out a legal notice to the media warning them not to show ads by Romney which falsely say he was fined in the 90s. After Gingrich sent out this legal notice ..lo and behold .I saw Shepherd Smith yesterday LIE and say the Speaker was fined.
I have heard chiding remarks by several people on Fox such as Brit Hume saying Gingrich has road rage and Ann Coulter on Redeye saying Gingrich is crazy, you know. For the sake of brevity, I am not listing all the instances I have seen here.
I am astounded to see such bias, viciousness, unprofessionalism and downright false news reporting from a station I depended on to get my real news. The fact that I know your true agenda now makes me want to tune out more than tune in and I feel quite disappointed to learn that you cannot be relied upon for the truth.
I have literally switched to CNN or MSNBC when I wanted to see a particular speech or event now that you will not show and I have not watched them since the 90s. The way I look at it now what is the difference between them and you when you quote liberal sources as legitimate?
I guess it took this election to open my eyes to your station and now I know your news is not reliable. I will never quite view Fox again in the same way. Your credibility is in the toilet now and I cannot believe you think your viewers are that stupid.
By the way, Stephen Moore with the WSJ has called for Newt to stand down and save his dignity. Well, with you people dragging him through the mud every day what does he have to lose if he stays in? Today I saw Fox show that old false ad that Newt warned media not to run or there will be legal ramifications. You showed the whole ad. I would think your station would abide by the law and have some ethics in your reporting but that will not happen when you are trying to push Romney across the finish line.
Destroying a reputation for your own agenda shows me it is you who has no dignity. Why am I still watching your station? Well, I like to find out what you are up to so I can stay on top of it and let others know.
Sincerely,
A disappointed viewer
This is a great letter, and I paragraphed it up a little, so maybe more people will read it. I hope that's okay.
I read somewhere that Fox's ratings were down 17% for February, but I can't swear to that. I keep an eye out for that information. I too wrote them, and if there ratings have gone down, then at least they have some idea of why.
STay Strong!
Troll, liar and scumbag are harsh. You should choose your words more carefully.
Whoo Hoo!
We have a traveling executive with real “clients”.
Pretty clear why it’s a “traveling” arrangement. Who in the hell would come to him on their own steam??? LOL!
The name calling is a really professional technique. I knew right away he was a real executive type. /s
With CLIENTS, and stuff. Go figure.
What would/should/could you expect from any ‘news’ outlet that is contaminated with Muslim money?

Not only clients, but clients on a "regular basis". I guess they're all fibered up, that's where the traveling comes in...
You made me laugh. I needed that!
Newt’s Town Hall will be on at 2:55 am to 3:59 am.
Enjoy!
Vid “malformed”....?
Enjoy!
OH THANK YOU SO MUCH! Now I can turn cspan off, I had it on so I wouldn't miss it... they're chronicling Eric HOlder's busy day... I'm going back to the Food Channel... right now.
thanks again!
Great letter dear one. Glad we are on the same side. I quit watching Fox unfair and unbalanced. It is nauseating. Now we know who the real rinos are...it is out in the open.
TBF...we have to kick some azz all the way to the convention. You do good:)
For certain it’s been a little stunning about, “who they ain’t!”.
Can’t imagine throwing to Romney in a primary with the conservative standing there, having to wait on a nation of other so-called conservatives to man up!
He said he would support the nominee, no matter who it turned out to be. I am very disappointed in Mark.
Rush has always liked being the mentor...but if he is giving advice to Romney, even if it’s subtle, he’s making a mistake.
