First the media said Zimmerman was white, and it turns out hes actually Hispanic.

Wrong. Zimmerman is to Hispanics as Obama is to whites.
Just because there was some heritage does not mean Zimmerman thought of himself - or even acted - as Hispanic.
LaRaza and other hispanic groups threw Z under the bus last month.
“First the media said Zimmerman was white, and it turns out hes actually Hispanic.”
Just wondering: How did “Hispanic” become a race? It does not even describe a specific national cultural identity. Central American natives of “Indian” stock, for want of a better term, having somehow acquired Spanish surnames absent any bloodline link to Spain, are placed within the group called Hispanic.
The HLN channel has been absolutely shameless in lynching Zimmerman. Dr Drew has shown himself to be a frigging idiot over this case but not to be undone by the two shrews Drace and Velez.
How do Hispanic people act. I know lots of people of Mexican heritage, including many Mexican citizens, a couple of Cubans and at least one Puerto Rican. I see no common behavior, they don't even have the same accents, in English or Spanish. Zimmerman's mother is Peruvian, from the looks of him, likely with a lot of Andean Indian ancestry, if not nearly pure. Hispanic is a term made up by Nixon administration. Latino might mean more, but the same comments apply. The only thing really share is the Spanish language, and in most cases some American Indian ancestry. Although one of the Cuban guys, a naturalized citizen who retired as full Colonel in the USAF, his last name is Irish. I also know a Mexican, who speaks with an upper class Mexico City accent, or so I'm told, whose ancestry is 1/2 Swedish, the other half gringo from Ohio. His name is Sven. Both he and his parents were born in Mexico. Shocked the daylights out of a another Mexican friend, from farther south, who herself has little to no Indio ancestry and has red hair.
On voter registration forms, George Zimmerman identified himself as Hispanic
