Smashed head, concussion, then the bounty, who would stick around? He should be contacting the lawyers, though, but is the man thinking right? Where is Zimmerman’s family who keep talking to reporters? If they can talk to a reporter, they can contact a lawyer.
Tin foil hattish of me, I know, but I wonder if they were threatened off the case. One of Zimmerman’s friends was interviewed last night, and said the “out of communication” business was bogus.

If i were he i would be somewhat unstable by this point. He’s been villified beyond belief. He has a bounty on his head. He understands,and this has not been mentioned to my knowledge,that his family too may be in danger from those who wish him harm.

I don’t know the details (obviously) of Zimmerman’s mental state, but it seems like he is panicking just as the big heat is going to come down from Uncle Sam.
The political show-trial and pressure from the Feds, as well as an even increased media-circus will soon be upon him, and sounds like Zimmerman is under mental duress and giving away the few advantages he has.
Losing one’s legal team, trying to handle one’s own PR, and disappearing (assuming all this is true) is not how one fights the all-mighty power of the Feds.
I saw these lawyers put on their show yesterday. It all looked like crap to me. I'm not blaming George Zimmerman for their antics. These shysters are in business for themselves.
I am intrigued by the wording of the DA announcement “More information will be released” — sounds to me like they may be going to NOT CHARGE instead of Charge and may release some addtionally exculpatory information at the Press Conference.
As for the lawyers, who admit they have only talked to George by phone, they may have been replaced by someone that has been retained through connections with the father. Hence no need for George to continue communicating with them. They then have their little “last moment in the sun” press conference instead of just saying ‘we were fired’.
Even in self defense, killing someone has got to be a heavy burden. Then to add to it the fact that practically every black person in the country is looking for you has got to be horrible pressure. If there was ever a reason for suicide, this would be it.
Just heard (1200 radio news) that Holder made a statement that if the evidence proves it necessary, Federal Civil Rights charges would be placed.
Would think that with all the ‘hard working reports and news agencies (BARF)’ on the case, the evidence(?) should be clear.
Al (call me REV) Charleton introduced Holder at a rally in DC ‘sponsored’ by Al and attended by T. Martins’ parents.
Wish I were able to take a rock star type tour around the country and appear on all the ‘shows’ but since I have done nothing more sensational than pay taxes and FICA for almost 60 years, served my country (NOT as a pol) I don’t rate such status.

Since the shooting was clearly legal under the State law and the investigating Police at the scene and time of the incident seemed to agree with that, Zimmerman will be charged with some federal civil rights / hate crime law...

What jury in the right mind would want to sit on this case? Death threats, media investigations into their lives and on and on.............
My guess is that some big time defense layers are going to take over. This is a defense layers dream, High profile case for client that is most likely innocent.

The tragic shooting of Trayvon Martin has prompted a growing race war that just may well end in senseless violence and bloodshed. Trayvon has been portrayed as a defenseless little angelic youth that wouldn’t hurt a fly. The photo displayed in the media exemplifies the look of innocence and blacks are using it to ignite their race war.
What the media doesn’t show is that Trayvon was six foot three, a football player who was carrying burglary tools and has a troubled record in and out of school. He really isn’t the sweet little angel they want you to believe he is.
But regardless of who was at fault on that fateful night, radical groups like the New Black Panthers don’t want the truth, they want blood and it sounds like the first blood they want is that of George Zimmerman. Here is the recording of a phone message sent out by the Tampa, Florida Chapter of the New Black Panthers that issue the call for violence, bloodshed and a bounty on the head of George Zimmerman. I do warn you that there is some strong and foul language contained in this message. The degree of hate will also shock and offend you, but I felt it necessary to include it in this blog.
If I’m not mistaken, only law enforcement agencies can legally place a bounty – dead or alive – on an American citizen. When Michelle Williams says that her prize is a bounty on George Zimmerman, dead or alive, she is violating a number of laws including hate language, conspiracy to commit murder and endangering the life of another person. Add that to the call for violence and bloodshed against whites by Williams and Chawn Kweli, and you add to the list of racial and hate crimes.
However, I seriously doubt if any legal action will be taken against them since the New Black Panthers have supporters in very high places.
According to a previous post by one of my colleagues, US Attorney General Eric Holder dismissed charges and released ranking members of the New Blank Panthers who were charged with civil rights violations. The same report also listed other militant blacks with rap sheets a mile long that were released by Holder and the Department of Justice. There is no doubt that the New Black Panthers have special protection from America’s top cat.
However, it could be possible that Holder’s preferential protection of the New Black Panthers is an edict given him from someone else who also has an affiliation with the group. In the early days of Barack Obama’s first presidential campaign, he marched with members of the New Black Panthers in Selma, Alabama. The militant group Obama marched with was among those that called for the murder of police officers in Dekalb County, Georgia, and then mocked their widows. No one is saying that Obama is a member of the New Black Panthers, but it appears that he does have some affiliation with the radical group.
To be honest, I would describe the New Black Panthers as a black version of the Ku Klux Klan who is turning to threats of violence and bloodshed to intimidate whites. This same group would be so quick to denounce the KKK but fail to realize that the only difference between the two groups is that the black and whites are on opposite sides. Other than that, I don’t see any real difference between the two. Both are just as wrong and racist as the other.
Perhaps a race war is just what the administration wants. A huge social conflict could be part of the ingredients for the perfect storm that will lead to the declaration of martial law and the end of American democracy.
As Americans, we need to brace ourselves for the possibility of a repeat of the 1960’s race wars that plagued our country. Many of you may want to seriously consider applying for a conceal carry permit and arm yourselves so as to protect you and your family.
