Breaking on Fox
I agree that no matter how correct you think you are, using a little restraint on the day someone dies out of respect even if not for the victim but for the surviving family who , regardless of what that person was, are actually grieving for the loss is the right thing to do.
Trashing the dead on the day of their death serves no meaningful purpose other than to lower the standard of civility and political discourse in this country. I don’t believe in absolving the dead of their wrongs or ensuring that they are notbeatified, whatever that means but
going off decorum pretty much exemplifies everything that is broken about our culture in addition to being extremely insensitive to loved ones in mourning,
They call it 60 minutes but they keep coming back.
Morley Safer is only 80? That dude looked 80...30 years ago!
RIP, condolences to his family. Agree or disagree he was an icon in television and had an impact on the world. Very few can live up to that.
Wallace? Sounds Irish!
I didnt know he was still alive. I guess he outlived Huntley and Brinkley?
Georgey boy Soros will provide entertainment soon enough.
Nope. I'm not buying the post-mortem bashing. It's cheap, it's disrespectful of the FAMILY of the deceased and it's no better than DU.
That in itself OUGHT to give posters here pause. Apparently, to some that's a distinction that just doesn't matter any more. That is what's sad.
people like you never learn.
Mike Wallace was 60 minutes, CBS news........ the enemy of all conservatives value
Your prattle about nice is ridiculous
His surname was originally Wallik, and his parents were Russian Jewish immigrants
I am full well aware of his politics and that of CBS / 60 minutes.
I simply have respect for the man’s family who still live on this earth. And read these threads, perhaps. Or have people who email them content to illustrate how nasty conservatives are. And how could I argue that they aren’t?
I have nothing to defend here. You go ahead and prattle off somewhere and post your venom. I’m sure it makes you feel like a really big guy. Enjoy.
Too bad.
Great way of putting it. I agree completely.
