Howdy everyone!! It's time for our 2nd quarter FReepathon!!
As you all know, we're planning on beefing up our system before the elections and we're anticipating it will cost approximately $12,000 to purchase the new equipment, memory and disk that John's recommending. We raised half of that amount in addition to our operating expenses last quarter and are hoping to raise the other half this quarter. Hope to have it all installed and working before the election cycle heats up.
No matter who wins the nomination or the election, we're going to need FR more than ever to hold their feet to the fire. We're hoping for the tea party rebellion of 2010 to continue in November. It's unlikely that we're going to have a conservative in the Presidency, but if we can continue taking state governments, build on our majority in the House and retake the Senate we may be able to make some headway. We must repeal ObamaCare and roll back the unconstitutional Marxist central government!! We must return the power to the states and the people!!
We are the resistance!!
Long live the tea party rebellion!!

Hi, Moose.
We're all right. Our tiniest kitty, Shadow, has congenital gum disease that is causing her to lose her teeth. She had a teeth-cleaning session yesterday and had one of her last two fangs removed, along with another one of her teeth.
We are pleased that she only lost two this time, but she is destined to be one of the younger cats who lose all their teeth to the disease. It is not contagious, so the other three are not in danger.
She was a bit disoriented and in pain yesterday, but we do have antibiotics and pain meds for her for the next three days. She should be all right by then, poor little sweetheart.
The vet told us that about 1/3 of cats have it, but they usually lose their teeth when they're much older. She is only about 4 years old. As near as we could figure it, she was born sometime in December '07.

Not yet, maybe she'll sleep late and I won't have to work on it again.
Haven't been to bed yet and now it's too late, just as soon stay up now, LOL.

She was a stray, and I called her Shadow because she would follow me everywhere when I went outside, but she would run from Hubby (WTHeck?).
I held out from feeding her, so as not to de facto adopt her, for about 30 seconds.
First the feeding, then putting out shelter for her, and finally in she came (it was April, but still really cold that year).
We took her to our former vet who pronounced her old enough to spay, but when she opened her up, she discovered that Shadow had never gone through estrus. The idiot spayed her anyway, and she has remained only slightly larger than kitten sized every since. She is a cute one, though.
Our current vet is several orders of magnitude better than the old one, even though it's an extra ten miles one way to get to him.

One of our boys was altered before he was 9 weeks old, poor baby. What a tough thing to go through at such a young age. The breeder who owned him wanted nothing to do with him, so eventually we ended up taking him. He’s such a sweetie, and is very big, weighing about 115 pounds. He’s my little pony.

Lucas Prince of Darkness was neutered at 10 weeks, and he turned out to be a loooong cat, and he's very sleek and thin, but he did have UTC (urinary tract crystals) problems until we started feeding him the right food.
He's 13 now, and he can still jump straight up from the floor to higher than my shoulder, LOL!
