Star Jones 'Livid' That Sarah Palin Was Featured On Today
Radar online.com ^ | April 4,2012 | Jen Heger

Today contributor Star Jones was livid that Sarah Palin was featured on Today Tuesday morning and that she had to appear on a segment with the former governor of Alaska, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Palin co-hosted the second hour of Today in a bid to up ratings as Katie Couric is filling in this week for vacationing Robin Roberts on rival show Good Morning America.

During Matt Lauer's interview with Palin in the first hour of the show she referred to the press as "lamestream media" at least three times and Jones couldn't believe Matt didn't address those comments. "Star was watching the interview in the green room and she was absolutely floored that Sarah Palin as a guest on the Today show was basically calling everyone on set lame," a show insider tells RadarOnline.com exclusively. "Star was incensed that Sarah was allowed to make such inflammatory comments. Star is the consummate professional and couldn't fathom why Sarah would be so negative as a guest and Star was livid about the comments.

The former co-host of The View was on a panel with Palin, called Ask The Experts, during the second hour of Today. "Star could barely look at Sarah and insisted that she be seated on the opposite end from her," the source says. "Star is a lawyer, a former prosecutor and has worked very hard in her life to get where she is. Star didn't understand why Sarah was on the panel because she doesn't have anything worth contributing. Star also didn't believe Sarah when she said that she hadn't seen Julianne Moore playing her in the movie Game Change."

Star Jones, famous for losing weight with radical surgery, now , once again overweight, is offended by having to share the stage with a governor. Vanity, your name is Star Jones.

Star didn't understand why Sarah was on the panel because she doesn't have anything worth contributing.

So in which state was Jones elected governor?

“Star is the consummate professional”

Jones exited “The View” in a firestorm of controversy in 2006. ABC had decided not to renew her contract, and she retaliated by announcing that she would be leaving the show. Walters would not allow her back the next day. The feud escalated when Walters revealed that Jones had asked her fellow co-hosts to lie about her weight loss from gastric bypass surgery.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/22/star-jones-return-view-departure_n_1294129.html

A non-profit Detroit women’s group, Full and Fabulous, accused Jones of theft after they invited her speak at their “Health, Beauty and Self-Esteem” conference during the 2006 Super Bowl. Full and Fabulous alleged that Jones made changes to her flight itinerary that doubled the travel expenses the group was paying for, and that she spent the bulk of her time attending Super Bowl parties to promote her book rather than being at the conference.

I'm being to think Palin could be the next Oprah.

She'd need to put on another hundred pounds.

Palin has the potential to be a major media player, for sure. I caught a little bit of the show yesterday. She still needs to reduce the Alaska accent and cadence. It is very endearing in smaller doses, but to play at that level, you have to sound like you are from the midwest, whether you come from Boston, Texas, Georgia, or Alaska.

"Star is a lawyer, a former prosecutor and has worked very hard in her life to get where she is."

And Star is really, really PO'd that Sarah has been so much more successful -- Mayor, Governor, VP nominee, best-selling author, international speaker, TV star, and successful wife and mother.

This drives Star insane.

During Matt Lauer's interview with Palin in the first hour of the show she referred to the press as "lamestream media" at least three times and Jones couldn't believe Matt didn't address those comments.

Actually, he kind of did. He said something along the lines of, "by appearing on the show you are part of the lamestream media today."

Not a bad zinger. Not a great one. But not bad.

See for yourself.

"lamestream media"

I wish Sarah was challenged to defend this.

I bet she was prepared. It's been four years now with her on the center stage and I'm sure she's learned alot.

Maybe next time.

The "lamestream media" is fortunate this did not come up.

As if anybody knows who Star Jones is.

Oh, wait, wasn't she Rocky's foe in Rocky XVIII?

“Star is the consummate professional”

Wedding experts say Jones, a spokeswoman for Payless Shoes, has pushed product-placement and celebrity freebies to a new extreme. She has taken heat for soliciting freebies and for her on-air plugs for wedding suppliers on The View.

Jones has denied wrongdoing. A show spokesman says Jones’ plugs on The View followed federal regulations, which prohibit on-air mentions in exchange for products. It’s a murky area, but since the controversy arose, Jones has noticeably cut back on on-air wedding chatter.

Star obviously believes in diversity.

Just as long as everyone thinks just like her.

When seeing this part:

"Star was incensed that Sarah was allowed to make such inflammatory comments

my first thought was:
'Star, you silly cow, you want some truly inflammatory comments, come over to my house

but then this:

Star is the consummate professional

caused this     and it's taken awhile to recover from it.

“Star is the consummate professional”

A rep for Al Reynolds confirms to E! News that he is taking his former missus to court for $50,000 in damages after she allegedly breached a clause in their divorce settlement when she spoke badly about their short-lived union on national TV.

The former Wall Street exec’s lawyer filed a complaint in Miami-Dade County Court after Star failed to respond to his client’s initial demands.
