Yes, I’m NE of your dad.
The warning for Arlington has ended, for now. It really looks like the west side of Arlington may be out of the woods, but areas east of there are not.
The atmosphere is very unstable, and afternoon heat could make storms re-form. We also have more heading in from the south, but they will likely track east, too. Tarrant County may be in the clear.
To everyone worried about not hearing from friends and families in DFW — this place is locked down. Kids are sheltering in place in schools, most districts holding them till things settle down. Those you are trying to reach may be away from computers and phones, and cell towers may be damaged. Also, much of the area is out of power.
WFAA: Arlington Mayor declares State of Disaster In City.
Wow!
Take Care, might be a long afternoon/evening for the kids in school. They won’t let the buses run until they can make their route in safety or I guess parents can check them out between warning . . . here IF it is a warning, you can’t even check them out, you can go and stay there with them but they won’t let you take them under such circumstances. I remember visiting after the tornado hit Downtown Ft. Worth and it looked like a war zone . . . one of the big buildings I use to work in had lots of blown out windows. Prayers!!!!
Storm south of Mesquite heading to Heath small but means business.
Wow! Where is that? Street intersections?
Arlington, Tx: Park Springs overpass, looking southeast, tracking toward calendar road south of sublett. Happily it took a very slight turn to the north, & passed over Lake Arlington, or it would have been curtains. I’m very lucky..the second tornado was hidden and almost silent but the winds whipped up debris and flung it about while we were all outside inspecting previous damage. It was a direct hit over the calendar/sublett area. Friend near Waterview/Green Oaks has major damage.
Thank you. I looked for something like this and didn’t see it. Couldn’t believe it! Glad to see the prayers going. G-d Bless Texas.
Wow, scarey stuff.
Thanks for the prayers, Chgogal. We need them.
Going to be an interesting evening.
Just heard an elementary school was “hit hard” by a tornado not long ago.
It was in Forney...east of Dallas
That’s a big area and a broad swath...so check in.
I have friends that live just east of Green Oaks. Waiting to hear from them.
Yikes! That's amazing.
Green Oaks has grown over the years but that is due south by about a mile from my Dad. He & my Mother always went looking for a house in Green Oaks and never found one they both liked.
I am grateful that we dodged most of the damage here. Prayers up for everyone else.

Stay safe, and definitely, prayers for everyone.
That's my neighborhood. Parker Oaks?
Plank One? My wife's office was on seven... that is before it was scattered over east Fort Worth.
