From the Empire State Building in New York, to the Eiffel Tower in France, to Wat Arun Buddhist temple in Thailand, cities, businesses, governments and millions of people are standing together in a collective display of commitment to protect our planet. Will you be among them?
It is not too late to sign up and be part of this campaign. Tell us you are participating in Earth Hour and show the world you care!
Don't forget to share your photos and videos with us! Show us how you are going "lights out" by uploading your photos and videos into our interactive map.
Isn’t that what the thieves do??? Case the joint?
Officer “What are you doing out here?”
FD “Ahh, just looking for houses with no lights on....”
LOL ;-)
Poor helpless little planet. So fragile and precarious.
How wonderful that we Big Important Humans can save it by flicking a switch on our walls.
This is all about how to intimidate feel good idiots into falling for being controlled by emotion. Not hard to do.
Ill be driving around the township making notes about where the true idiots live.
Honk your horn and when they look out, yell “Idiots”.
I have an idiot neighbor that lives next door. She actually left a note with the neighbor across the street telling him to turn his outside garage lights off at night because he was contributing to light pollution. He politely informed her that he had no intention of doing so, since we have had a few cars broken into to at night.
I really could not believe it.
We need to protect the planet from all these environmental wackos.
“The Stupid Hour @ 8:30pm....”
Might not be a good idea to do that in Florida while Al & Jesse and the rest of their feral followers are, uh, protesting.
What you mean we, Kemosabe?
It is also the night that another group calls on us to turn our lights on to celebrate technology’s benefits for Man.
DITTO!!!!! If it plugs in it is on!!!!
I’d turn on *everything* here in the house, but my Met-Ed’s electric bill has doubled since January, y-o-y, for almost the same frugal usage. I’ll be with everyone in spirit, though.
Oh yea...this year I even have an semi-tractor to idle in my driveway
This does nothing for the earth, It does however make a bunch of weak silly people feel better about themselves
If electricity was just now discovered it would be "banned" because it would be considered too dangerous.
If I remember, I will turn on every light in the house. Don't need any feel-good nonsense here.
This is just practice for our eventual return to living in caves, the ultimate goal.
I’m gonna power on each and every electrical device we own.
Might find some tires to burn for good measure.
In honor of this event I am going to BBQ mass quanities of good unhealthy red meat products.
