On Friday, the Daily News obtained EMS documents suggesting Zimmerman, who an ex-colleague said was fired from a security job for being too aggressive, did not sustain serious injuries in the fatal encounter.
Paperwork detailing the EMS response to the shooting scene shows that a call for a second ambulance was canceled.
An audiotape containing the EMS communications, also obtained by The News on Friday, records unidentified workers discussing the scene.
Zimmermans condition is mentioned briefly in the 30-minute recording.
Do we have a second patient? a man asks.
Thats affirmative. We have a second patient, a woman replies. The second patient is not a gunshot.

“Fatal”???
And this whole time he claimed he was killed. Who knew?
I suspect the “proofreader” didn’t know the meaning of “fatal,” but had encountered the phrase “fatal injuries” in the past, and just decided that the word belonged where she put it.
An ESL sort of blunder, not understanding the bizarre and humorous implication of the misplaced modifier.
The article says: “Zimmerman, who an ex-colleague said was fired from a security job for being too aggressive, did not sustain serious injuries in the fatal encounter”
I’m glad he didn’t sustain SERIOUS injuries in the FATAL encounter. I didn’t even know Zimmerman was killed. Do these papers use junior reporters?
The truth is this article’s soul purpose was to be able to write that he was fired for being too agressive.
A second thing with that headline. EMS tapes? EMS does not tape it’s patients, that would be a violation of their privacy. EMS does not release the details of a call for the same reason.

...a person is justified in the use of deadly force and does not have a duty to retreat if:
(1)He or she reasonably believes that such force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another or to prevent the imminent commission of a forcible felony
Seriously, do these "journalists" do any research whatsoever?
trevon said he was gonna kill zimmerman after he punched him in the nose and pounded his skull into the cement. Before zimmerman was fatally injured, he was able to pull his weapon during the fight and fire a round that killed his attacker. Details at 11.
I think the intent of the headline was to undermine Zimmerman’s claim of self-defense by indicating that he did not sustain life-threatening injuries. Pure propaganda and totally irresponsibile.
There’s a Zombie take on everything these days.
Just damn.

Some words just sound appropriate to those who are ignorant of their definition. In my line of work, I've been asked numerous times to go interview somebody whose been 'electrocuted.'
Better both than either.
Inserted before the discussion of his injuries is the phrase “who was fired from a security job for being over aggressive....”
Perhaps an interesting story in itself, but a descriptive phrase of who Zimmerman is?
Right.
Zimmerman's use of deadly force prevented further such bodily injury, and prevented Martin from continuing his attack.
I'm not sure what you're saying.
I see, he should have waited until he really, really, really thought he was going to die. And then maybe he should have died instead. After all the police were called, they could have protected him after he was dead, right?
They will never suffer as much as Channon and Christian...never.
“A Miami funeral director says Trayvon Martins body showed no signs of a violent brawl.
Richard Kurtz said his examination of the slain Florida teens corpse revealed no cuts, scratches or bruises, only a gunshot wound to the chest.
Kurtzs account appears to contradict George Zimmermans claims that he shot Trayvon during a life-and-death struggle.”
Do funeral directors do autopsy reports in Floriduh?
All that proves is that Zimmerman wasn't beating up Trayvon, that is why...well...he wasn't all beat up.
