Maybe that first paragraph was intended as a tease for any lefties that scan National Review Online. It's almost a mea culpa, then they read those appalling statistics which I never see in the drive by media or the lefty house organs.
I noticed that you recognized later on in the thread that the opening paragraph was awful. Good. If there was ever a non-policy time to excerpt an article, you have to admit in retrospect that THIS was that time.
I've been mostly lurking here since around 2006 when I stopped my more active posting started blogging more. You post much good stuff. Maybe next time, when you have a hot article full of useful info, use your better judgment and do FR and your tireless efforts here the favor of excerpting Ms MacDonald so that any good stuff she presents will be focused on and not derailed again.
Be wary my FRiend. Less and less in the paid media are trustworthy. More and more there will be little that can be taken at face value. Fear of reprisal and other reasons to be circumspect will cause such things.
