Former Vice President Al Gore and Joel Hyatt, the heads of Current TV, have just fired their star anchorman, Keith Olbermann, who previously left MSNBC on bad terms. Gore and Hyatt released a statement saying that “the values of respect, openness, collegiality, and loyalty to our viewers . . . are no longer reflected in our relationship with Keith Olbermann and we have ended it.”
According to Talking Points Memo, insiders say Olbermann missed almost half his working days in January and February and insisted on taking an unauthorized vacation day the day before Super Tuesday.
Here is a statement Olbermann just issued. I’d call it going ballistic, albeit in writing:

hello all I am riverdog and I have not posted here for many years- I have no excuse and no I was not in jail! I just feel that current events especially the self defense shooting in Florida, Olbermann losing it again, a commie president, well I just find it hard to hold my tounge any longer. Please forgive me if I breach any protocols or etiquette. I am about 95% conservative and feel like this website and it’s originators and contributers best voice my ideology and opinions.
On the topic of olberman and gore all I can say is it is just heartening to see moonbats collide! I reserve my complete disdain and contempt for the likes of olberman, maher, moore, matthews (all of msnbc) and last but not least the illegal alien in the white house.
what these moonbats have done to this country, our country. my country is digraceful and treasonous. I just can;t say anything good about any of them so for now I will not take upa ny more time or space and I look forward to commenting to the best of my ability on the misdeeds of the moonbat leftwingnut slime that would turn America into a third world socialist country...C

A couple of decades ago, I used to watch Olbermann when he was the sports guy on a Los Angeles TV station.

Olby is a vicious and evil person ... he was always quirky and a bit unbalanced, even before his days as a political commentator ... I was at an ummm, Gentleman’s Club which had various large TV screens up near the ceiling, most of them carrying sports channels.
I looked up at the image of this guy I’d never seen before, and was quite taken with the effect of those dark-rimmed glasses and eyebrows, which in those days resembled caterpillars.
I turned to my, umm, companion, and said, “Hey....how’d they resurrect Groucho Marx??”
Odorman was making 10 million bucks a year for 5 years working for Algore. It’s kind of difficult to show your support for Algore’s “occupy” fleabaggers when you’re making 10 million bucks a year. Your credibility is more or less out the window.
I’d just sum it up using Holder’s Peoples’ slang:
“That is one f’d up cracker.”
or Holder’s People watching a horror movie:
“Uh oh, white guy just gone crazy.”
He may still have a shot on Lifetime or OWN.
Now that is some trifecta there.
