For those of you who have been wondering, yes, it is probably illegal for the New Black Panthers to offer a 'dead or alive" reward for George Zimmerman. Over at Pajamas Media, J. Christian Adams, the former justice department lawyer who resigned in protest against Eric Holder's refusal to prosecute this same NBPP organization for voter intimidation in Philadelphia, has spelled out just how the hate group's actions may be prosecutable by Florida authorities:

However, I have seen no evidence that indicates that Zimmerman is the one who turned this event beligerent. And since Zimmerman is the one who is in potential legal jeopardy, evidence has to be produced that he turned the event into a beligerent confrontation in order to counter his claim of self-defense. This law, although not directly applicable to Zimmerman, does show that Florida considers neighborhood watch activities to be subject to special legal protections.
I think Spike Lee and Rosanne Barr should be arrested as well for giving out information intended to harm innocent people. My Lord, giving out a home address so that the family can be harassed or maybe even killed. What gutter slime they are. What utter morons. Words can’t describe how digusting these two are and the rest of their ilk.

Would it make a difference that Z is the “head” of his neighborhood watch group and was just on the phone reporting a suspicious incident. (Young man, not known in community, was not using sidewalk and street but was moving in and out of structures. Burglaries had been an issue in community)

I don't think Martin had any kind of outwardly-visible indication that he was on neighborhood watch.

True enough. The facts will come out, not that such matters to those who have already passed judgement on Zimmerman.

Listened again to the 911 tapes early this AM. “John” who was interviewed by TV reporter and said he called 9-11 is not on the list. He gave physical description of both and of what he saw of the incident. Another caller mentions the “wrestling” and man in white shirt on top.
The young man whose mother is making the rounds saying her son saw nothing is supported by the call made by the boy’s sister. He can be heard in the background apologizing for not going to help the man yelling “help”, but his dog got loose and when he heard the gun went home. (Had someone call 911.)
Looked at the entire video tape (It too is on the page listed under “consolidated video”) No grass on back of GW, He’s cleaned up. Officers take several sacks (evidence) out of trunk. Are they GZ’s clothes?

We had a Iraqi defector (a former general) discover a home invasion in progress ~ a group of adult men were terrorizing his daughters.
He eventually moved away to somewhere else, but the police reported he did a great job in identifying and disposing of the invaders.
