House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi today said she has “no idea” whether the Supreme Court will strike down a key provision of the health care law that she guided through Congress during her reign as speaker of the House two years ago.
“I have no idea. None of us does,” Pelosi, D-Calif., said.
Pelosi said congressional Democrats “have long believed in judicial review” as part of the country’s constitutional process, but said that as Democrats wrote the Affordable Care Act, “We were careful to honor our Constitution.”
“I hope it’s better than [Conyers' 5-4 prediction], because we have one thing going: the merits,” she said.

No she didnt, she said “our constitution” which is different from the constitution. Who knows what her constitution is.

Congress rammed it thru with less than the equivalent of a 5-4 decision.
Shady backroom deals, bribes and parliamentary maneuvering were required to fraudulently pass this garbage.
Surely a 5-4 decision would be much more legitimate.

Interesting political dynamic developing here. Carville has stated that the Court would do the Democrats a favor if the nullified the law. Polls suggest that Obamacare is especially hurting their Congressional candidates.Now ( what a surprise) Reid and Pelosi are actually backing away from this monstrosity. During the Solicitor General’s horrible defense of the law, the four liberal Justices did their best to support the Democrat position. Essentially they looked stupid. Now the word is going out to them that overturning this law on balance would not be such a bad thing. This will give one or two of them the opportunity to appear “judicial” or non partisan and vote with the majority. This whole proceeding just underscores what nonsense really occurs at the Supreme Court. What is “constitutional” is not determined by some agreed common standard, but by the political bias and ideology of these nine individuals. Its a joke.
Does Pelosi really think all those stretched face lifts make her attractive?
If Kagan votes it down you’ll know the fix is in. The semi-wise latina will vote how she’s told.
