1. My childhood memories (70’s and 80’s) of my parents with their POS American cars that no matter what, never seemed to run right and were always in the shop. I remember my Mom's Pinto in particular - what utter garbage that was. The American Trabant.
2. I will not support the UAW. Sorry Ford, that includes you too. Even though you do produce some nice vehicles.
Buy American.
Unemployed mostly vote Democrat.
Just because you can ruin a factory which employs unions by sending your business to a Korean factory which employs no Americans, doesn’t take away the now-unemployed American former factory workers’ votes.
Buy American.
“my Mom’s Pinto”
While wearing a much younger man’s clothes I was crammed into the back of one of those things with a couple other suckers, and we were on an icy I-70.
We were bumped from behind, and I almost kicked that big rear window out. But we didn’t burst into flames that day. Remember that minor defect?
The Volt? Who knows. Maybe you’re fried and shocked to death.
The last good car my mom had was a leased Volvo when was I was about 10. Since then it’s all been American and all of them have been pieces of shite that she’s wasted money fixing and on rental cars when they wouldn’t run.
If I could afford a car I sure wouldn’t get an American one. Sorry US Autoworkers but Europe and Japan seem to do a better job. Also they don’t subsidize the Michigan Democratic Party.
I’m guessing money is reason most people who don’t have cars don’t have them. Give some kid a million bucks and the first thing he’d probably buy is a sports car.
