You are not being fair. If asked, any of the candidates would serve as vice-president. It is called serving your country.
If you claim to be a pro-life Conservative, you would not help a pro-abortion, pro-gun grabbing, and pro-gay marriage flip-flopper like Mittens win the election.
I didn't have much of an opinion of Santorum one way or the other - I could vote for him in the general, but I lost a lot of respect for him over his saying he could take the VP slot.
If Santorum is pro-life, he would never EVER help a pro-abortion candidate like Romney, especially being on the same ticket.

I disagree. I think the Romney campaign pulled a fast one. It’s like the “when did you stop beating your wife?” question. There really is no way to answer. “Would you be VP if asked” is the same kind of loaded question. Having said that, I think it is VERY important to have a pro-life voice near the oval office (especially if a lib like Romney gets in). There has to be an exchange of opinions instead of a bunch of “yes” men (like Obama has).
