I would like to know if the following also actually including a confrontation, a sharing of words.. stalking is a crime there,, I think.. This is maybe more overzealous policing perhaps.

When Zimmerman got out of his SUV and followed Trayvon a short distance Trayvon took off running into the darkness. He told the 911 operator this and said he was headed back to his vehicle. It looks like Trayvon doubled back around one of the condos and started the confrontation according to Zimmerman and witnesses. If FL has any stalking statutes I don’t think it can apply here in this case. Any FReepers here with a more informed opinion on that?
Define “overzealous policing.”
Stalking is not constituted by the mere act of following someone.
Multiple incidents are required, and so are multiple threats.

There’s a lot more to stalking than what apparently happened. Everyone needs to stop the “stalking” baloney.
Overzealousness isn’t a crime.
Stalking is a serious crime involving repeated non-stop longterm harrassment...restraining orders, police protection, etc.
VERY far from a 2-minutes-tops from-a-distance observation of a random stranger in YOUR neighborhood.
My God, I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone.
