Thanks very much, Ladies, for tonight's Hall of Heroes thread!
*HUGS*
Captain Michael J. Daly, USA, was a great American Hero and is most deserving of inclusion in our Pantheon.
Note to enemies: Don't mess with the Irish - they're born with a chip on their shoulder and are accustomed to fighting against overwhelming odds!
Nos genuflectitur ad non princeps sed Princeps Pacem!
Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

Avenue To Power
March 26, 2012
When Tarah was in high school, she had a growing fear that she would someday battle a serious illness. So she began to prayasking God to spare her from this imagined illness. Then she reached a turning point in her thinking, and she yielded her future to God no matter what.
Years later, Tarahs doctor found a cancerous tumor, which was successfully treated with chemotherapy. Tarah says that because she had entrusted her future to God, she was ready when the disease came. Her problem became an avenue for Gods strength.
This idea of surrendering to God can be seen in Pauls life as well. His surrender came after the problema thorn in the fleshhad developed (2 Cor. 12:7). Paul prayed repeatedly about this difficulty, pleading for the Lord to take it from him. But God responded, My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness (v.9). Understanding this, Paul adopted a positive view: Most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. . . . For when I am weak, then I am strong (vv.9-10).
In facing our fears and struggles, its vital that we yield totally to God. When we do, God can use our problems as an avenue for His power.
Whenever lifes burdens oppress you And trials are too much to face, Remember Gods strength in your weakness; Hell give you His power and grace. Sper
Wielding our power is no substitute for yielding our will to Gods power.

Hi Everybody!
(((HUGS)))
I took my first long motorcycle ride since my husband’s death a year ago.
My brother was visiting Key Largo and called me about 9:00AM, and I just hopped on the bike and rode non-stop 94 miles to see him!
Hung out on the ocean, Had some great seafood, hugs all around, and back on the bike for the 94 mile ride home.
It was delightful! :-)

Good evening, Mac...*HUGS*
Hope you got everything on your “to do” list completed.
Were you able to talk to your daughter?
No predicted snow! Yea!! 15 minutes of chipping ice gained me some more driveway. Then I push the ice out into the street for further melting. Man! Ice is heavy to push around.
