Unless some totally new evidence turns up (which seems unlikely), I don’t see how a prosecution gets past reasonable doubt. Based on the Police investigation, they didn’t even arrest the guy which means they don’t think he committed a crime. If the police have doubts, how can you prosecute?

Zimmerman has been declared guilty by too many public figures, in and out of government.
Sadly, some of them are republicans and conservatives; individuals who should know better than to declare guilt or innocence on the media’s interpretation of any event.

The 90 year old war veteran husband was beaten and his jaw broken. He was shot in the face numerous times with a BB gun and sent to the hospital in critical condition.
The 85 year old partially blind wife was RAPED and then BEATEN TO DEATH.
(She was most likely gang raped numerous times...but we will never know for sure)
Both the husband and wife were weak, having just gotten over the flu.

This story reflects why it’s best to reserve judgment until all the facts come out and the investigation is complete. If there’s a witness corroborating Zimmerman’s self-defense claim than it sounds like a lot of people from pundits to politicians have rushed to judgment in convicting him in the press.
