That worked out well: Most Egyptians now dislike U.S. ties

Well, so much for President Obama and Hillary Clinton helping the Arab Spring and freedom along in Egypt last year to ease out Hosni Mubarak.

A new Gallup Poll out this morning says that a sizable majority of Egyptians now see closer ties with the United States as a bad thing for their country. This despite more than a billion dollars in foreign aid each year.

The new survey of 1,000 adults, taken in early February, reports that 56% of Egyptians now feel negatively about closer relations with the United States. That's up from 40% just 90 days ago.

A little more than a quarter of Egyptians (28%) see closer ties as a good thing, but fully 41% see closer ties with Iran as a good thing. And a whopping 60% think closer links with Turkey would be good.

“The good news for the American president is that Egyptians disapprove of his job performance even more than Americans. Nearly two-out-of-three Egyptians (65%) disapprove of Obama while only 19% approve.”

I’ll bet those are almost identical to the REAL feelings here that people are afraid to express for fear of being racisss.

Why would it be a surprise that Muslims in Egypt hate the US? Obama knows this. He hates the US too. Hating the US is a religion to him. As his Rev. Wright says, “God Bless America? No No No No No! God damn America!” Alot of Americans think radical hate is cute and edgy.

How many times have we seen this play out?

1. The dictator, who secretly cooperates with the US is deposed.
2. The new regime is fueled by US hatred.
3. We become the great Satan.

Yet the MSM celebrates the Arab spring.

We’re choosing lesser of the evils here. Utopian idealism can come later, if ever; but it has to be based on a vibrant economy i.e. free flow of goods and services at market price. Which implies rule of written law.
