I think I agree with you...I haven't heard perps side of the story...but c'mon. 911 tells the guy to leave him alone, they will follow up...that's where it should of ended.
Sounds like this kid with the gun was looking for a gunfight.

Yep. That is the way they are trying to make it sound. I was amazed how hard it was, even on the internet, to find any stories discussing the testimony of the witness that actually saw what was going on BEFORE the gun was fired. The guy on the bottom and screaming for help was Zimmerman, and he has the blood and the grass stains to prove it. Yet the press is silent. What gives?

Neither any dispatcher nor anyone at 911 has legal authority to tell someone at the other end of the phone line to do ANYTHING, including initiate a chase or end a chase.
They are not on the scene, therefore, they can't legally direct anyone to do this or that.
A person must, however, obey directions from a law enforcement officer AT the scene of an incident.

See how easy it is to make you feel how they want you to feel if they don't tell you all the facts?
That's some scary sh!t right there, I don't care who you are.
And it should be criminal. That's that kind of thing that can get a lot of people killed.
