I don't suppose it would do any good to point out the irony in turning off your lights for a hour and firing up your computers for 3-4 hours just to brag about it. That would be perceived and responded to as a personal attack, because of my above explanation. When you point out the fallacy of the things that sheeperals advocate and do to affirm their "good personhood", then you are attacking their "good personhood". It matters not what issue is involved.

Then the argument turns into why I'm so "intolerant" with my "attacks on environmentalists / computerphiles / women / < insert victim class here >" and go from there.
