This has nothing to do with homosexuals wanting to give blood. What they’re doing here is trying to address a serious obstacle in their arguments over “gay marriage.” Even the most ardent supporter of “gay marriage” recognizes the idiocy of giving people the right to “marry” when the basis of their “love” disqualifies them from even something as simple as blood donation.
While my late wife was undergoing stem cell therapy at Mass General in 1999, I was walking the halls. I passed by the Red Cross Office. I hadn’t been able to give blood since a 1983 triple bypass, but I thought it’d be OK now. The lady had me all ready to get stuck when she got out of list of Africa countries. I told her that I’d been to most of those on the list. She undid the rubber tourniquet and sent me on my way and said “thanks, but no thanks.”
Wow, I never thought about that!
