When it comes to appearances at state dinners, President Obama is keeping score.
Mr. Obama was standing with first lady Michelle Obama on Wednesday night at the White House when their guests of honor, British Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha, arrived for the state dinner on the South Lawn.
As Mrs. Cameron stepped out of a town car, Mr. Obama commented, "very pretty."
Then he turned to his wife and said, "They look better than us."

If this 20 IQ moron had any savoir-faire, he would have complemented Samantha, asked premission for David’s indulgence and offered his arm to escort the British lady up the stairs.
Michelle would have offered her arm to David, and he would’ve said he’s pleased to escort the First Lady into South Lawn.
This act would have been the season’s social sensation and cemented the mutual respect between Brits and Americans for decades.

I’m not big on “breeding”, nor on decorum wherein rules are reserved for an elite club.
That said, there is an intrinsic instinct for carriage, and import. Commoners, or other “simple” people are afforded certain graces by God and rise to the occasion when their training would not otherwise prepare them.
Obama, et al, do not harbor such an innate grace-
