I am writing to thank the Log Cabin Club of Massachusetts for the advice and support you have given me during my campaign for the U.S. Senate and to seek the Club's formal endorsement of my election. The Log Cabin Club has played a vital role in reinvigorating the Republican Party in Massachusetts and your endorsement is important to me because it will provide further confirmation that my campaign and approach to government is consistent with the values and vision of government we share.

Odd Name? My guess is that they all sit on their “log cabins.”
I googled it up...apparently they were formed in 1977 in California and wanted to be called “The Lincoln Club” but that name was already taken. “Log cabin” is a nod to Honest Abe.

One of Lincoln’s best friends when he was a young man was another young man. In a letter Lincoln mentioned about sharing a bed with him. This was not a strange or rare thing to in the backwoods of America 200 years ago. You did anything to stay warm. Well, since homosexuals love to call others homosexuals and rejoice when they spread the rumors to that effect, they have always said Lincoln was a repressed homosexual and that letter about his friend proves it. That’s where the name Log Cabin Republicans came from. The same way they stole the symbol of the University of Hawaii, who were called the Rainbow Warriors for years. Along comes the sodomites to rip that name off so the players got tired of being labeled as homosexuals, so they dropped the rainbow from their name, now they are called the “Warriors”.
