Rasmussen Reports ^ | March 10, 2012 | Rasmussen Reports

Posted on 03/10/2012 11:17:08 AM PST by RobinMasters

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 25% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-four percent (44%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -19 (see trends).

Looking at Tuesday's upcoming primaries, the GOP race in Alabama is essentially a three-way tie, while Mitt Romney leads by eight in Mississippi. Nationally, Romney now leads Rick Santorum by 12 points. Regardless of who they want to win, 80% of Republican Primary Voters nationwide believe Romney will be the party's nominee.

With the perception growing that he will be the GOP nominee, Romney leads President Obama by five points in a hypothetical 2012 matchup. Today's numbers show Romney at 48%, Obama at 43%. That’s Romney’s largest lead since December. Matchup results are updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update).

What I wrote is the truth at this point in time even if it did proclaim Gingrich was leading Obama. As I recall, Newt is only a few points in a poll behind Obama and that poll doesn't mean much of anything like this poll.

You may have noticed Drudge's screaming headline about this poll. Can you guess why? A hint: vote for the "inevitable" nominee Romney so forget about Santorum or Gingrich.

Newt can't win!

Newt will win on Tuesday - Mississippi and Alabama. Count on it.

“”ANYBODY BUT 0BAMA” carries MUCH weight when you consider all of the radical-progressive-socialists and Marxists that will be exiting along WITH him. “

Ditto to every word you said.

A poll designed for a Drudge headline.

NOT SHOCKING!

Don’t read propaganda. You have no idea what questions were asked no matter what they say. Remember MEDIA LIES/DECEIVES. IGNORE THEM! They have been pimping MITT all along to DECEIVE the voters.

After all, they came up with the ‘anybody but Obama’ for us to take what they give, LOSER LIBERAL MITT.

Hey n00b (2012-02-22), take your Romney pimping elsewhere. Romney is the Barry, without the flim-flam and the czars. These are the primaries and we want to select the best conservative. Romney is not one of the them, get it?!

"To me, she represents everything that is vile about the legal profession."

More so, feminism! In other words, Sarah Palin is a feminist but Allred represents vile, extreme feminism. Palin loves men. Allred HATES men.

I support Newt as well. But if he doesn’t win some more states, he’s gonna have to consider leaving the field. I hope he does win.

Who is on the bench for the Dems? If Jughead were to be disqualified in one or two states, someone would need to be called up.

According to the Republican National Committee, here's the official breakdown:

Romney - 339 delegates
Gingrich - 107 delegates
Santorum - 95 delegates
Paul - 22 delegates

As you can see, Newt is currently in second place. Many of Senator Santorum's victories came in states whose delegates will not be selected until much later in the process. For this reason, Newt wasn't expending a lot of time or resources in these states, choosing instead to focus on states with bound delegates. That strategy has now been validated by the official RNC delegate count.

Keep in mind, this breakdown doesn't take into account the fact that the challenge to the "winner take all" awarding of delegates from both Florida and Arizona - which won't be decided until this summer's convention - could reduce Governor Romney's delegate advantage dramatically.

Actually the game has changed. It is not how many states you win, but how many delegates you have.

I am a NEWT man all the way but I will take Romney’s DOG for President (but not in a pet carrier on the roof of his car, however) over 0bama. If Romney is the nominee I will vote for him.

Notice Gingrich loses badly to Obama. Who’s still supporting this guy besides his crook Vegas bankroller and his lame, dishonest ads? Oh yeah, I forgot, Gingrich will dazzle the nation in debates and everything will change! LMAO! Gingrich almost was invisible in the last 2 debates, but the great debater will win the general election in the debates. Keep dreaming Newties!

Yuh damn right Newt’s splitting the vote. He and Santorum don’t give Mitt the ability to focus on any one target.

The only way Mitt prevails is when he pulls out his American Express Black Card and outspends his opponents 6 to 1.

And just what do his ads say? Not a damn thing about his plans.

Just a bunch of negative ads saying Rick or Newt is bad, very bad.

Mitt’s only strategy is attrition. His product sucks and is so complicated he had to write it down on 59 pages and use high minded language to, I guess, confuse everyone.

This race is a long way from being over. Rick’s delegates are not commited delegates so they don’t really count as they can vote for whoever at the convention.

Mitt’s vote total is in jeopardy in Florida and one other state. Newt will challenge them and prevail. They changed the rules in the middle of the game. Not gonna fly.

None of these guys is going to gain 1144 committed votes. The pie just doesn’t get slice that way as there isn’t enough pie left for anyone to get there.

That is fine and your choice. An ABO campaign in the primaries is only helping Romney. FR is a conservative site. We have a primary because we want to elect the best conservative. Romney is no conservative. His record is the polar opposite of a conservative.

I am not an expert myself. This election is different from previous ones in more ways than one. I am learning as I watch what is unfolding.

Those numbers aren't shown on the page. Do you have them?

Look in the sky....................

"It's neither bird, nor plane, or even frog.........

It is only the one, Obama underdog!"

Me thinks this is their plan. Now Obama can use all the cards in his social victim deck.
