If we didn’t believe him when he tried to fake being a conservative, why on earth would be believe him when he tries to fake being a southerner.
That dog don’t hunt!

No different than Kerry, Clinton (both of them), or the “notdownforthestruggle” Obama......
It is hypocrisy plain unvarnished. That said, I am not for Romney, regardless.

He is trying to endear himself to southerners just like John Kerry tried when he went into a gun store and said, “can I get me a gun” or something like that. Shows insincerety for sure. People should just be themselves.

There are few things in this life that annoy me more than someone (especially a politician) doing a fake southern accent.
About the only thing more annoying than that is someone trying to fake a Texas accent..........

Romney will never get my vote in a primary or general election. I’m through with all this crap - the Republican elite can go to hell. I hate the liberals and their Marxist agenda but the bunch running the republican party is not any better. Need a new Conservative Movement. Don’t know if the Teaparty is that vehicle either.

Dumbass.
If he was addressing a group, it would be “Morning, all y’all”.
Dumbass.

Romney is steering clear of a Monday candidates' forum in Birmingham that both Santorum and Gingrich plan to attend. "Romney just needs to stand aside and let Santorum and Gingrich beat each other up," said Merle Black, a political science professor at Emory University in Atlanta. Yep, time to late Gingrich back in a bit to keep the balancing act on track.

You can forget my support Mitt. Nothing you can say or do will change that.
I might be forced to vote for you, but I will gag as I do it.
Whatever happens Obozo MUST GO. Mitt is not much better, but not an open Commie.

He learned the word “grits”, too.
Sort of like Kerry in the bait shop buying his huntin’ license.
It is so offensive to have an outsider come in and try aping the lingo to show they fit in.

Here is one time Romney should be cut some slack. And I'm no Romney fan.
He's not trying to be a South'ner. He was attempting to be "quaint". He was trying to be humorous. I took no offense.
It's his past liberal policies that I find offputting.

If anyone wants to see the most absolutely ghastly attempt at a Southern accent, check out the obscure film “Her Secret” (1933), in which a British actress, Sari Maritza, portrays a Georgia gal. It’s jaw-dropping. Her bizarrely surreal ‘slow drawl’ makes her come across as someone brain-damaged.

As if we Yankees don't have enough heaped on us by our Southron brethren, now we have Mitt trying to fit in.
"Wicked pissah, y'all" just won't fly in Dixie.

“Good morning, Yan-kee!”
To: Red Steel
Oh good Gawd, as others have said, it's shades of Lurch in 2004 in Ohio: "Can I get me a hunting license?"
I swear, if (GOD forbid) it's Mittens vs. Zero in November, I'll hold my nose and vote for Mittens (after vomiting first) since he's not a blatant Marxist, but geez can't we do better in this once great nation?
