I am a Newtonian.
I am glad he has more bound delegates than Santorum.
But the fact remains that Newt finished in third place or below in 9 of 10 Super Tuesday states.
If Newt gets beat in both AL and MS next Tuesday then there will need to be a sober discussion of strategy.
How about we see what goes on in Texas OK? romney aint closing the deal and santorum is due for a downturn after the media gets at him.
How about you wake up to this

So now you approve of big labor picking the GOP candidate for president.
How do you define “hard delegate”? That’s what Clinton too thought she had against Obama
OUCH! That will leave a mark.;)
You're tilted, friend. Are you seriously believing that Newt has more faith in the delegate count the NY Times, than what the RNC has put out?
Do you really want Obama to win that badly?
That's some of the silliest sh!t I ever heard.
Why Newt has the lead over Santorum in the hard delegate count is because he won the overall delegate total in these 3 states: Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Georgia where he mostly campaigned in for Super Tuesday.
Yeah. Because only losers worked to try and pick up people who normally don’t vote GOP.

What a sleaze Reagan was when he did this back in ‘76, ‘80 and ‘84. If you don’t recall, this is how Reagan tightened the race against Ford especially in TX.
I've shown you at least twice or more to a website that would tell you what it is, but you're too obtuse to see it.
Sheesh Guys no matter how hard you scream it. Does not change the Facts.
Newt leads Santorum in HARD Delegates. Hard Delegates cannot change there mind unless they have been released by the candidate.
Soft Delegate are nothing more than their ticket has been punched to the State Convention.

Also Newt has already said he will be going after these “Soft Delegates”
Well, perhaps you need to broaden your reading material.
Besides, FoxNews shares the same view on delegate count.

WHOO HOO! Please, please, just get Newt to California so I can at least say I voted for him!
I think Lazlo in Pa gave you the answer on that one. Even Gingrich isn’t claiming this absurdity.
Judging by your post I would say you are a "fair weather" Newtonian. You seem to have all of the negative scenarios worked out. Just as the general election is about electoral votes and not the popular vote, the primary is about delegates and not how many states a candidate wins.
At this point I would say Newt is in a strong position to move past Santorum. Then again, I AM a Newtonian.
Well, nothing changes the fact that Ricky is behind Gingrich in the total hard delegate count.
You must be daft. There is no doubt that Gingrich thinks he is behind Santo in the Hard Delegate count. It's there in black and white for all to see.
Oh, yeah. That's much better. If I can't stomach the NY Times, give me NY Times Lite.
Just why are you so all fired interested in pimping the delegate counts from left-leaning media outfits, over the delegate counts from the RNC?
“Just why are you so all fired interested in pimping the delegate counts from left-leaning media outfits, over the delegate counts from the RNC?”
Exactly. Jim Robinson needs to clean house again.
