Soledad OBrien and her CNN panel manage to stumble into Contessa Brewer territory in this appearance by attempting to paint Breitbart.com editor-in-chief Joel Pollak as a racist for making a point about Barack Obamas support for a proponent of critical race theory during his days at Harvard Law School. Joel ends up in an argument with a woefully unprepared OBrien on the theory itself, but the actual facepalm moment goes to one of her panelists, who asks Joel why hes so afraid of black people:
Wow my respect for him rose 100 fold when I realized his wife was black but that he did not bring that up in the interview to defend himself against charges of racism. It takes a big man to stay silent.
Wouldn’t have done him any good to bring her up, anyway, as they would still have called him a racist. Lou Dobbs, for instance. His wife is Hispanic, but that hasn’t stopped libs from calling him a anti-Hispanic racist. And they consider his wife as the Hispanic version of a Tom.
The fact that she still has a job after her teenage freakout on Jodi Kantor is proof that the idiots have taken over.
THOMAS: “I’m just looking at your skin. That’s all I’m looking at. I’m just talking white guy to white guy.”
POLLAK: “So you’re oh, you’re judging me by the color of my skin.”
THOMAS: “YES, I AM. I SURE AM.”
Yes good point. They will spin it no matter what he does but sane people will see the truth.
Thank you for the links to Joel and Julia’s wedding - what a beautiful bride! Lovely couple... I wish them many, many years of happiness. :-)
I agree, but I think that there is much more than that.
Andrew Breitbart said at CPAC that he has videos of Obama at “college”. He would not have conflated college and law school, since people regard them as completely separate entities. I suspect that there will be several other videos, both from law school and from college, released over the next several months, all making the case that this man comes from radical origins, and that he has not moved away from that perspective.
I am in awe of how masterfully Joel Pollak has picked up the gauntlet. I also note that he said to Soledad O’Brien that we are at the beginning of the vetting process.
