Except Stalin didn't threaten; he "disappeared" people. Or you could just be crossing the street, walking home late at night, and drop dead on the sidewalk.
That kind of thing would never happen here.

He’s altering/editing public records, i.e. the White House transcript, that reflect unfavorably upon him.
His office did it just recently and there’s no telling how often its been done, with the `Fourth Estate’ in his pocket.
That’s the way a tyrant or oligarchy operates. That kind of thing should never happen here either but it is happening.
