Is this Obamas chance to really become Nelson Mandela?
Kony 2012 is a brilliant viral campaign to bring one of the world’s most hideous war criminals to justice and save a lot of children’s lives. I don’t see this as a Obama mandela making moment as it has bipartisan support. James Inohof is a big behind this. As far as republicans go, they need to embrace it and encourage the gubmint to stay engaged.
my two cents.
African brutality does not have to stop and we do not have to try to stop it.
Our country is going down the tubes. That we should stop.
Is this how media matters builds a story?
I do remember quite sometime back hearing about this guy kidnapping children and forcing them to kill parents, siblings, etc.
This movement is to get people to stand up and take notice so they will keep the military there and capture this guy.
Thanks again for posting, but yes a little more information would have been helpful right up front as right off I had no idea what, who, where a Kony was.
I like the ‘new knife policy’...good head stabs are quieter and save ammo...
did you notice the blonde was complaining that there was hardly any ammo left??
Well higgmeister, my opinion is that this guy should be easy to take out. As the video unfolded, it was of interest to me that a segment showed Obama signing documentation to send 100 troops to Uganda for training purposes. But my entire point was, I guess I wasn’t clear, the worldwide attention this is getting and if or how it is tied to Obama, for reelection purposes. End of story.
{higgster scratches his head}
Nelson Mandela served 27 years in prison for being a radical leader of a repressed political movement seeking God given human rights for the opressed, yet then found it in himself to join hands with the opposition to become a conciliating unifier of his diverse nation.
I am at a loss to understand how anyone could compare Obama to this?
Lets’ see... this Kony wants nothing and is supported by noone.
I hope our advisers aren’t that naive.
Americans no longer care about crazy middle Easterners killing each other and probably even less about savage tribal killings at this point...
We feed the world, we save them after disasters, and we free millions from bondage...and what do we get?? An officer gets shot in the back of the head from a ‘co-worker Afghani’ because someone burned a book.
Feh.
“Without a link, your post is useless.”
LOL!
In a speech to donors in New York Friday, President Obama tried to make the case for reelecting him using an unusual spin on his typical change takes time riff. Specifically, the President drew historical comparisons between what hes trying to accomplish and the accomplishments of Nelson Mandela and Gandhi? The Presidents quote:
The civil rights movement was hard. Winning the vote for women was hard. Making sure that workers had some basic protections was hard.
Around the world Gandhi, Nelson Mandela what they did was hard. It takes time. It takes more than a single term, it takes more than a single president, it takes more than a single individual.
(you can stop scratching your head now)
Not so brilliant as most of us have never heard of it!
I vote no.
Uganda can't be purged of its nature in many lifetimes and in any case it would have to happen from within.
Idi Amin murdered and ate his enemies forty years ago too.
(still scratching my head)
Your snippet even said,
"Obama tried to make the case for reelecting him using an unusual spin on his typical change takes time riff. "
Of course Obama supporters are brainless idiots, but this does not sound as if it will sway any thinking person.
If any thing, his ACLU and liberal academia support will take a hit if he sends our military to Africa to murder a local Warlord.
I appreciate the knife policy, too, but of course Rick and Shane only practice quiet walker voices around the ladies, and ring every dinner bell they can when alone and brawling.
Why aren’t they using sawed-offs? There is no doubt reloading shot gear all along their path. While the blonde (I can never think of her name) is up there walker-scouting, she could be loading shell.
This is a video about Joseph KONY in Uganda who is kidnapping and killing children.
It is a public relations type video. This is the Lords Resistance Army (11:58) which is why Obama sent troops (advisors) to Uganda.
This group was successful in influencing Obama to make this decision with the help of 20 Culture makers (Hollywood names) and 12 Policy makers such as John Kerry, Clinton, Harry Reid, Romney, Condolesa Rice, George Bush Jr., Boehner, etc. (23:10-24:48) and are listed on their website.
Our goal is to change the conversation of our culture (25:28) and ask who is Joseph Kony.
They have kits to track the impact of the donations.
They talk about covering the night on April 20th meet at sundown as a movement to plaster posters everywhere and that everything will be upside down.
They claim that the people have the ability to change everything because we are bigger than those with the money. The people of the world can protect each other.
1. They are extremely organized reminds me of the left.
2. April 20 (26:26)
3. Cover the night (26:28)
4. Upside down (27:33) (like Van Jones)

Indeed. I remember when “Occupy” began on Twitter, no one had a clue what was going on at first, just a ‘sob story’ about the 99% vs. the 1%...thing went viral and took off pretty fast after that...wonder what the truth is with this new story?
Could it be the “Bottom up” that Van Jones talked about?
