Since we're going with feelings, here's one of my issues with Newt. In both the military and in the private sector, I've had the privilege of working for some incredibly gifted and intelligent people...much like Newt. Some, while no doubt far more intelligent than those of us they led or worked with, did not put on airs, and respected those around them, even those of obviously far less intelligence. Others however, had to smugly ensure that everybody knew just how smart they were, and that generally was their way of masking some deeper rooted insecurity that often led them to rash, flighty decisions. So much of what I've seen and heard of Newt places him in this latter group.

Just my feelings.. nothing more!

I have had to read people all my life being in sales for 30+ years.. I do not get that impression from Newt at all! What I see is Santorum desperately seeking the highest Office in the world for personal gain, just like Mitt.!

I see Newt, as a person trying to educate people on why our country is about to be lost..

He is a great mind, but he is not smug! He is a professor and historian. He is also the only person on the stage to teach the military strategies..to THE MILITARY!.. So Yes, he is the most qualified individual on the stage.

Smug, pompous jerk are more closely aligned to Ricky and Mitt.. not NEWT! You seem to be misreading your signals

Have a nice day
