PELL CITY, Ala. Newt Gingrich says he isnt dropping out of the Republican presidential race.
Gingrich said during an Alabama campaign swing Wednesday that hes staying in because its impossible for a moderate Republican to be elected president in November. He was referring to front-runner Mitt Romney.
Gingrich also said rival Rick Santorum, whom Gingrich is battling to be the preferred conservative, is a creature of the establishment.
Top allies of Santorum have said Gingrich should drop out.

Newt is going to win these. :-)
He is nothing more than a lapdog for the establishment who by virtue of his voting record has time and time again shown that his "principles" are absolutely negotiable.
Anyone have polling for the next 3? Kansas, Alabama, Mississippi?
Go Newt!
Isn’t Newt skipping Kansas?
What she said.
There was a poll done 3 to 4 weeks ago in Alabama. Newt was the leader in that poll even after the Media hit him with their BS, “The Thursday Massacre,” and right after FL where Romney hit him in 20+ million dollars in negative ads.
The most recent poll for Alabama, albeit from a suspect source, shows Newt a distant third there behind Romney and Santorum.
Newt and Rick need to set aside differences and join together to defeat Mitt once and for all.
Bloody Thursday showed the world who the ONLY viable threat is in this race.
Wake up, America.
Thanks for all your informing posts, RS.
Clearly, it’s unusual for us here in Alabama to have our primary mean anything. Would that it didn’t mean anything and Mitch was the presumptive nominee.
ROLL TIDE
Why is Lil’ Ricky all the rage with Evangelicals but not catching on with fellow Catholics?
Would that your presumption business gets a deserved soaking, right after the zot coming at cha!
IMHO, it’s a regional thing partly, and partly it’s increasing numbers of apostate Catholics who still self describe as Catholic, but only for political purposes, believing in the perceived clout of the old Catholic block of voters of the past.
Whose Mitch? I don’t understand your comment except for the “ROLL TIDE,” SEC RULES welcome Texas A&M and Missouri.
If Newt wins AL and MS it will be a different ballgame.
Didn’t they give us The Huckster and Jimmah Carta???
WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!
You don’t get it. Newties not a joiner.
In the states where they have measured, being union overrides being Catholic.
