If Netanyahu bombing Iran causes gas to go up to $6.00 per gallon, it’s because we’re buying it from that part of the world. If we were buying it from Canada (Keystone Pipeline) or Texas (Oil Reserves) we would not be affected, at the gas pump, by what is happening between Israel and Iran. The average American standing at that gas pump (cussing) will not be thinking about Benjamin Netahyahu; they will be thinking: “It’s NOT Bush’s fault this time baby.......it’s your fault, MR. PRESIDENT and I’m gonna help vote yo ass out.

No, it wouldn't be because we're buying gas from that part of the world but because of the effect a screwy Iran could have on oil futures and uncertainty for the world oil market. We buy a relatively small amount from that part of the world. Our top five foreign suppliers are Canada, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Venezuela, and Nigeria. Those accounted for 69% of total petroleum imports in 2011. We get more petroleum from Russia than we do from Kuwait and Oman together. Of the top fifteen sources, four are Middle East, accounting for a bit less than 22% of the total. And we get 14% more petroleum from Canada alone than from Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, and Oman combined.
