Like a gunfighter with no bullets, Las Vegas copyright company Righthaven LLC no longer has any copyrights to sue over.
A federal judge in Las Vegas on Monday stripped Righthaven of whatever interests it has in its 278 federal copyright registrations as well as its trademark.
Judge Philip Pro ordered that the copyrights and trademarks be transferred to a court-appointed receiver so they can be auctioned to cover some of Righthavens debts.

The idea of using litigation as a business model has been dealt a welcomed defeat. This line from the story is particularly sweet and ironic"
"Righthaven complained in January this request was part of scorched-earth legal tactics by Hoehns attorneys."
Pot. Kettle. Black. Goodbye, Righthaven.

SO the Stephens Media Group just lost control of 278 copyrighted pieces of media, unless they win the auction to repurchase the copyright?
That is fitting.

Unfortunately, everyone who "settled" with Righthaven (i.e. didn't fight their efforts at extortion) have no hopes of getting any of it back.
I think that includes FR.

If I read this correctly, -
Their business model was based on Fraud
They willfully and knowingly put forth fraudulent pleadings to a Court of Law in an effort to defraud innocent people, using the force of Government.
Why aren’t they ALL IN PRISON???

I dont see why not. On second thought don't kick them when they're down. Wait till they're about half way back up, then kick them. You get way better leverage that way.

What would be fitting is if the name Righthaven was bought out from under them and turned into a conservative site/forum/idea generator.
