The furor over Rush Limbaughs controversial comments directed at Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke has lead to advertisers dropping his eponymous radio program. 12 advertisers, including Sleep Number, The Sleep Train, Quicken Loans, Legal Zoom, Citrix, Carbonite, ProFlowers, AOL, Bonobos, Sears, and Allstate Insurance have pulled ads from the program, and/or distanced themselves from the show, either permanently or temporarily, ThinkProgresss Adam Peck reports.
Allstates advertising purchase strategy has not included the Rush Limbaugh Show, the company wrote in a statement on their Facebook page. Earlier today, we responded to inquiries about our advertising relationship with the show by stating we did not advertise on or sponsor it. As radio listeners notified us that they were hearing Allstate ads during the show this afternoon, we contacted the vendor that arranges for our advertising placements and discovered that an error had been made and advertising time had mistakenly been purchased for the show.

Everyone should contact these advertisers and tell them that we are firing them. I’ve already done it with several.
Good riddance. I hate Sears and I hate Allstate. So nothing lost. I will never shop at Sears again and never buy another Allstate policy. To hell with them.

I have 5 cars, 2 trailers, 1 motorcycle, 1 high dollar offroad car, Home, Umbrella policy, with Allstate. Dang! They might lose about 6 or 7 grand from me if this is true! Plus I have been with them for over 20 years.
I’m sure many of us have. They can have their OWS freeloader Marxists. They can go the way of Greece, much faster than they thought.
Unfortunately, I’m afraid that most conservatives are busy and won’t make the time. I’ve called everyone so far. except Citrix, Legal Zoom, and AOL (who would use that?). I get to the rest. Frankly, with 20 million listeners, these corporate weasels should be on their knees begging Rush to take them back.
Sears is wobbling on the verge of bankruptcy, and this will probably send them over the edge.
A few years ago, so the googledom says, AIG attempted to purchase AFLAC but failed. So the duck is still AFLAC’s.
A very bold stance...
Some folks who like their internet tied up in a neat package with a bow, still use AOL even with a broadband internet service. I know one, and she’s not a screaming lefty.
I'm glad the view of all these companies is coming out now that I have so much less money to spend anyway.
These days when every penny counts we need to be more careful about funding the enemy and those the enemy can force into playing the PC and anti-Freedom of Speech games. Especially those biased they'd never pull ads from a leftist for calling Palin a slut but then give in to this sort of game. My only question is whether or not Kmart and Sears are the same company these days because Kmart is my only alternative to Wally World and has different things they sell for less.
Isure hope Rush never ‘unsuspends’ the ad accounts after all the support he’s been shown. It would be like when your
friend breaks up with a guy and you both sit around and trash him, then she goes back with him and you look like
a big dummy! LOL!
This means that there are opportunities to advertise with Rush now. It has been hard to get time on his show.
Sears sucks, its as outdated as Kmart.
Guide One Mutual markets to the “churched class.” Long ago they were a nondrinkers’ company but they put the soft pedal on that if not eliminated it totally — they may have wanted a market of more than Baptists. It’s another option, and they have an Elite class now for the best risks. Their history with me has been checkered — sometimes their agents were egregiously incompetent (my current one is not) — but they have carried my auto policy for most of my life.
So the once All American Company, Sears, supports a slut who contributes not a single iota of family values or principles....They’re almost out of business anyway so good riddance.....
Neither have I.
They are now dead to me, though.
K-Mart and Sears merged years ago. They cater to different markets, Sears a more high class market. But Sears is on the rocks now and shedding stores to try to stay alive. It’s much more a K-Mart economy today.
1800flowers.com.......I use them all the time...And the owner, Jim McCann is a terrific guy.....
Thank goodness Rush is getting rid of these commie pinko companies!!!!! I knew half were lefties, good to know about the rest.
