Since Ms. Fluke is not a ‘public figure,’ I'm waiting for the Defamation of Character lawsuit to be filed against Rush on behalf of Ms. Fluke by the ACLU.

Heard this live. It was depressing. Rush has caved to intimidation and has given the left fresh ammo against him and against us.

Rush is right - we don’t call people names. But it was an mistake - look at the numbers ...

Here’s a breakdown on ‘birth control’ issue and costs:

Birth control pills at Walmart sell for $9 a month - for three years of law school that’s $324.

After three years of birth control pills are paid for - a law student is left with $2,676 to cover costs of condoms....

A box of LifeStyles Ultra Sensitive 40ct (40 count) Condoms at Walmart runs $11.46.

The $2,676 left AFTER buying birth control pills, she ( random law student) can buy 233 boxes of condoms (the 40 count boxes) - for a total of 9320 condoms over a three year stint at law school... or 3,106 condoms per year. Or about 8 1/2 condoms PER DAY.

What word should people use to describe a female law student who uses - on average - 60 condoms a week? Free? Liberated? Or maybe something different?

Rush is right - we don’t call people names. But it was an easy mistake to make - look at the numbers ... based on the call for taxpayers to pay $3,000 for birth control over the three years it takes to graduate from Law School.

I listen to Rush on WCRA 1090 AM from Effingham, IL....in the half hour a representative made an announcement about listeners calling to ask that Rush be cancelled from the station. He said for the present time Rush will stay at WCRA.

I am asking you all to email the station & at least stand up for Rush today, I do not want to have to go elsewhere to listen to Rush in the future.

Email: mphillips@cromwellradio.com

This is what I sent her:

I am listening to Rush on WCRA 1090 a.m. and heard the station announcement on people insisting that he be removed from this broadcast station.

I just want to let you know, if he goes, then you have lost me forever! I like Wm Bence.....I used to listen to Liddy....until you saw fit to remove his program (BAH) BOO.....you made a mistake there also.

I am here to tell you, the people insisting Rush be removed, do not listen to him every day as do I....I have patronized your sponsors as well as enjoy hearing the salute to past and present soldiers. I hear many of my old friends and relatives announced & my pride swells for our country and those heroes.

Please use your brain and keep Rush on the air, I can listen to other stations but I have chosen WCRA, for over 22 years I have heard him on A M radio stations.

Thank you for listening to my voice today!

Don't be mad at them or mad at her. Everybody here was being true to their nature except me.

LOL! Very droll, Rush.

He is using today's heightened attention to his show as an opportunity to expose the democrats's sleazy, manipulative and mendacious tactics along with Fluke's true agenda.

There’s nothing wrong in Rush’s apology. It was heartfelt and honest. He felt he violated his own sense of ethics and he apologized.

This is what decent people do. I wish more people had that kind of courage.

What I am ashamed of is all the idiot Freepers who, instead of rallying behind Rush, are piling on with the left.

Shame on all of you who are doing that. You are the real cowards, and we don’t need you in our foxhole.

I’m too lazy to look it up: Does anyone know if Ms. Fluke acknowledged (minimally stated) promiscuous behavior? I thought I heard that she did.

It really doesn’t matter though does it? She chose to call up a nationally syndicated radio program. She chose to identify herself publicly. I’d say whatever harm done to her is entirely self inflicted.

Honestly, I am disappointed. He’s operating from a position of weakness. Not confidence. He’s NOT WRONG. I don’t know why he’s doing this. He knows you don’t apologize to the left because they are never satisfied and it’s never enough and they just keep saying it’s not enough and use it as leverage to keep hammering on you. And you certainly don’t apologize to anyone, ever, when you are not wrong.

I reiterate. She is a slut. Slutfluke. A fluking slut. However you want to say it. Now the dictionary can put a modern face on the word ‘slut’.

I think Rush did the right thing and proved he has what the left lacks, Class.

As much as we’d like it to be so, that’s not how this will be portrayed. As much as we would like him to, Rush does not control the national media and its decisions on news coverage.

To them, he’s now the man who was faced down by Fluke. He may have made his point to us (and even though I don’t like the way he chose to make it, I certainly understand it) but whether it has the larger impact so many people here are suggesting is debatable at best.

He did retreat. For whatever reason, he retreated.

Now we have our side criticizing Rush for being ‘chicken’ and recanting.

The fact is that his statements were stupid and unnecessary and he knew or should have known they would be inflamatory and non-productive. He has made the Democrats day (or week or month)on this issue by drawing attention away from the imposition of government controls on religious institutions.

I heard him say something a few weeks ago that was also a ‘no-no’ which he covered up quickly. Perhaps Rush is getting to the age where he speaks his mind and not his intelligence.

To: Kaslin; GOPJ; Conscience of a Conservative; GrannyK; SumProVita; Mrs. Don-o

Nancy Pelosi’s initiative to convince Sandra Fluke to testify to the principle of contraception as a health care necessity is simply wrong. Colleges and universities provide accidental injury/major medical and not traditional employee health insurance to students. Since students are generally young and not subject to the myriad diseases confronting older people or families with children, the coverage is limited. Not only contraceptives, but many medical procedures and drugs are not included. Since sexual intercourse is an optional, and not a required activity of law school students, contraceptives should not be among policy provisions.

Ms. Fluke testified that 40% of the women in law school considered sexual intercourse a compelling or preferred recreational activity. Therefore, the proper place to make her case is with the Georgetown University Student Association. The university encourages students to actively engage in more than 200 co-curricular clubs and activities. She testified to what would be more accurately described as a club sport or performing art, than as a health care necessity.

The analogy should not be considered facetious, but should awaken people to the limits of targeted, low cost insurance programs.

In all this kerfuffle, what I still can’t understand is this: How does a third-year law student find the time to have any kind of social life, let alone one as promiscuous as she claims?

Unless, of course, she’s on “the Obama plan” :D

While I cringed last week at his comments about the chick, I knew the basis of his ridicule. I'm glad he issued the apology and especially the way he worded it. His opening monologue reaffirming the apology as well as a detailed account of what the democraps were trying to pull last week was nothing short of brilliant.

I'm sure that today's audience not only included all his regular fans but liberals nation wide and the entire MSM who were probably expecting Rush to be groveling and begging for forgiveness. They got quite the opposite......

They got the truth and the MSM is going to be hard pressed to spin his comments.......BRILLIANT!
