Could it be that Rush raised the idiotic, nonsensical Fluke issue to obfuscate and head off what Arpaio released? Rush = a double-agent?

Rush is not a political thinker. He is a mattress and gold bar salesman. Fluke is an administration plant. Give Rush some small credit, he did figure out that much. But then he went a teeny step too far, stepping into a rather neatly laid trap. Was this a ploy meant to divert attention from an interesting and somewhat larger story? I doubt it. Arpaio is not on Rush's establishment-tuned radar. More than likely, fat boy was a day behind.

As far as eligibility and "right wing talk radio": From somewhere high up in broadcast heaven the edict came down: This topic is verboten. The real question is, why listen to these former DJ ani? They are generally, e.g. Rush, not educated men. They do not deliver the goods. They do not raise turn-out. They do not win converts. They do not stand for a positive program or plan. Think religion. They are not missionaries. They tell a devoted choir what it expects to hear, and then they pass the plate ... which for them and their advertisers, is the good part. They are Roger Ailes/Karl Rove/Mitt Romney/ RNC/ toadies ... craving respectability. Who has the heart to tell them they are entertainers? Insofar as they are useful to the establishment, they will be rewarded... but never respected.

It's bar talk for people who don't go to bars.
