This should not be a compare and contrast to the Rush apology.
He simply called a slut, a slut. Nothing wrong with stating a fact. And if she’s asking anyone - boyfriends included - to pay for her birth control, then indeed she’s a prostitute.

I know it seems like a mistake but it may actually turn out ok.

The Lame Stream Media will either have to drop it or keep it going with the apology. My guess is they will want to drop it because then Maher can be brought up in every conversation and the fact he didn't apologize.

On the Sunday shows, if they ask any Republican about Rush all they have to say is “He apologized. Maher called Palin something just as bad and he never apologized. That's all I'm going to say about it”.

Let me get people caught up on the colloquialisms of the 21st century.

Calling a female a slut in today's society will get you a defamatory retort at best and a giggle from most.

If you call a female that's just had 50 sexual partners and the evidence is still running down her legs the "C" word you'll get your eyes clawed out and they will hunt you and haunt you until your dying day.
