ROME Returning to Georgia Tuesday for several days of campaigning, Newt Gingrich accused Pakistan of hiding Osama bin Laden before U.S. Navy SEALs assassinated him during a daring night raid last May and said the United States should reevaluate its relationship with Islamic countries.
"We now know that the Pakistanis for seven years were hiding bin Laden in a military city within a mile of their national defense university," the former Georgia congressman told hundreds of supporters gathered in an airplane hangar in Rome. "Does any serious person believe that could have been done without a significant part of the Pakistani government knowing it would protect him?"
Gingrich added: I believe we need to reassess every element of our relationship with the Islamic world and we need to be prepared to do whatever it takes to become economically independent."
Earlier Tuesday at a campaign rally in Dalton, Gingrich took aim at President Obamas apology over the burning of Qurans in Afghanistan, calling on the president to apologize to Americans. Two American troops have been gunned down in Afghanistan amid violent protests since the U.S. military said the Muslim holy books were burned by mistake at Bagram Airfield. President Obama has apologized for the incident.
I believe that no American president should apologize when young Americans are being killed, Gingrich said. Mr. President, you owe the American people and you owe the young men and women in uniform an apology for your failure to defend America.

If I understand your question, no I did not. Learning as I go, and not liking what I am learning at all!
I notice you came back - thanks for all the pings BTW.
Had to stop FReeping to make some cupcakes. Have not made any for 40 years. They look pathetic - taste good though;)
You do not depend on your enemy.
Drill here, drill now, disband the EPA and start new refineries and nuclear power plants asap.
I see nothing wrong with the left picture. The middle one - ICK. The right picture is a concern.
Men holding hands is perfectly acceptable in most of the world, and means nothing more than simple friendship. It may shock you, but in a lot of countries, men kiss each other as a greeting. I do so with my wifes father, though not my own (he’d probably freak out).
You note that Pres Bush is holding King Abdullah’s right hand while leaving his own right hand free. A monarch deliberately letting his weapon hand be fettered is a sign of trust and respect. Pure symbolism, designed for home consumption as most Westerners won’t get it.
Which is why the picture on the right disturbs me profoundly.
The middle picture - what can I say. No head of a sovereign nation bows deeply to another. A slight bow, as guest to host is both permitted and expected. The slight bow is usually considered as a small inclination of the head, which is simultaneously done by the host sovereign, to a slightly lesser degree.
Sorry, etiquette is one of my interests!
My concern is not one of etiquette, but the more profound concern that leadership from both of our parties are in collusion with the Saudi leadership which is in collusion with the biggest nutjob on the planet!
