I am glad I live in a rural area.
We don’t have too many of the more riotous folks around here,When they come into this neighborhood they are liable not to leave.

How many times does this need to be said: Buy a few usable
guns and a lot of ammo.

My thinking would be buy more ammo than guns. If you’ve already got firearms the thing to do is buy ammo for them.

If guns are necessary to exist day to day then gold has no value.

You buy gold if you want to. Other countries(who are not our friends) control the gold supply. Try food & guns.

Trend forecaster Gerald Celente advises buying a gun to protect your family, stocking up on gold if the dollar crashes and planning a getaway, so its no shock hes preparing for an economic 9/11. I hope Mr Celente advises people to take physical possession of the gold. He let MFGlobal hold his gold and he can't get it back because of the Corzine MFGlobal scandal.- Tom

While there is, indeed, a possible problem at some nearby juncture, to cite Celente and and Prechter — the mawkish ravens of the analyst world — isn’t good for the article’s viability.

Maybe I missed something but "we" have been buying guns, ammo and gold since November 5, 2008, whatever OWS is doing was called "riots" in the 1960s, and "we" moved out of Detroit and Camden NJ some time ago.
Oh -- I don't expect a crash per se, since we just had one and it's rare to have two crashes in a row, rather I'm concerned about a protracted bear market.

Logic tells me if one needs 5000 rounds of ammo, one is going to need an army. I don’t know of any fight between me and another that is going to take more than 100 rounds. Probably no more than 50. Food, medicine, and some kind of currency will be more necessary for the bulk of the time.

The city slickers at the UK paper talk as if it is somehow a bad thing to move your savings that previous were in the form of constantly-depreciating dollars into some assets that don’t depreciate or even may appreciate in dollar terms. And besides, a firearm may come in handy once in a while.
It’s not my fault that some people choose to live in areas where they allow government to force them to live like whimpering dependent serfs. These people, who fought off Hitler, now cower at lesser threats. The present generation cannot even envision standing on their own two feet. Well, sorry to tell the facts, Jack, but when seconds count, the government help may be hours away, if it ever comes at all! After all, the UK government just admitted it was OUT OF MONEY!

If Obama is re-elected I would predict armed insurrection and whole states or parts of states to break away from the United States.
