Kerry would give those younger than 40 or so a chance to see something incredibly rare; a decent and honorable democrat. Joe Lieberman is about the only othe living example.

>>>a decent and honorable democrat<<<

Bob Kerrey is nothing of the kind. He’s a bitter, harcore partisan and leftist who has spent years attacking decent conservatives, Republicans and Americans in general.

He revelled in his lionization as a war hero and only in 2001, when he was about to be outed, confessed to knowingly leading troops into at least one outright slaughter (maybe more) of a village of Vietnamese women and children.

He has since equivocated about the massacres, saying the women and children “were at least associated with the Viet Cong,” and poses as a victim of Nixon’s evil war and as a hero in his opposition to it.

Mind you, this is at a time when our own brave troops are being second-guessed, smeared, convicted and imprisoned for fighting back against “civilian” Afghans who betray, shoot and frag our fighting men on a daily basis.

Kerrey was also the first on the 911 Commission to accuse and attack in a partisan manner, all but blaming President Bush for negligence and even indifference in the face of presumed “intelligence” that foretold the terrorist strike.

He is as angry, arrogant and self-serving as Obama, and should be opposed at all costs in his attempt to re-enter national politics.

It has been noted here before:
