Funny thing is over here on the West coast of Michigan in Ottawa county, my precinct seems to be covered in Santorum signs. People on my list who were supporting Newt have been asked to vote for Santorum (since newt isnt really campaigning here in Meechigan) and I have been hard pressed to find a Romney voter. Now, in the middle and Eastern side of the state, Romney has a MUCH stronger presence in the more liberal mid and Eastern parts of MI as well in places such as the I 94 corridor stretching from Detroit and passing through places such as Ann Arbor (pot smoking U of M dopeheads) Jackson (federal prison and union stronghold) Battle Creek (union stronghold) and Kalamazoo (one of the last places Elvis was sighted) From what I am hearing, Ron Paul will take several counties in the U.P. and Santorum will take the less populated counties in the upper lower peninsula and will have a stronger showing in the Western counties. Romney will probably win the state by about 3.5 to 4 points due to the entire Republican establishment being in the tank for him. He does have one hell of an organization on the ground....props to him for that. Sadly, he has purchased the organization. They are more organized like employees than enthusiastic gung ho volunteers.
The interesting thing about Michigan is that delegates are awarded two for each Congressional district winner plus two for the popular vote winner - Romney could conceivably win the popular vote but lose or tie the delegate vote.
