FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer endorsed Mitt Romney for the Republican presidential nomination on Sunday, saying he is the most electable candidate in the field.

“He’s the man that can carry the day,” Mrs. Brewer said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

" There’s a large contingent of Mormons in Arizona, and Bishop Romney instructs them how to vote. "

" I would doubt they outnumber the Protestants and Catholics. That argument doesn't make sense. "

can the protestants and catholics guarantee over 90% turnout for their members to vote in bloc? the mormons did to push CA's prop 8...they didnt need numbers, they had obedience

what do you think the lds turnout will be to hire their boy Romney?...not 16% like the national average take whatever the mormon numbers are and multiply them by 5 if its a cause their leaders espouse, unlike any other faith, if the 'call' comes they will answer as one body (more or less)

i'm an exmormon and i know of no one in my family or any other church member who isnt lockstep behind Romney...not getting into a faith discussion, just statistics

The marching orders are in. The elite want Romney. And those left to vote in the Primaries better damn well pay attention.

And if this thing goes to Romney, lay the blame squarely on Gingrich.

Romney as our nominee is too terrifying to contemplate ... but here we go

"Don't forget Gov Bob McDonnell of VA!!! ...and, of course, Chris Christie; not that I ever considered him a Conservative to begin with!"

I no longer have any respect for my governor, McDonnell. A few weeks ago I saw him on Fox, shilling for Romney, and I saw him fudge the truth for Willard and squirm while doing so. He was asked if he agreed with Romney that Newt resigned in disgrace. McDonnell shifted around a little, and wouldn't look the interviewer (I think it was Greta) in the eye as he mumbled, "Well, he did resign." Disgusting.

On another note, I don't want to post a vanity about it, but I'm wondering if anyone is talking about Ann Coulter's unbelievable lie on Fox & Friends today. She said that, even when pushed to do so, Romney has refused to attack his "fellow conservatives." OMG.

I respect that. However, I, and many, will not. I refuse to vote for the enemy to invade the GOP. That is something even more difficult to extract.

I will be voting Third Party or write in if Romney is nominated.

You are right Jeff. Palin is probably the only Republican I could or would vote for. That said, I do not think any of the Seven Dwarfs minus three is who or what I want in a President. For various reasons. Including the fact that none of the four can beat Obama. Palin might, but she ain't running. So I am stuck with none of the above.

So much for integrity.

News for you: She never had any. I know her (not personally) and have been consistent about this for years. It was nice she signed some good laws, but I was never fooled she did it for the right reasons.

Good Morning CofA-

McDonnell has lost whatever respect I had for him, also. I note that since he has become a visible Romney supporter he has chided the Republicans in the GA about overreaching in their efforts to pass legislation favorable to Conservatives.

Republicans are so gutless once they are elected. I have reached the conclusion that only a third party effort will ever change things demonstrably for the better. Sadly, w/Obama in the drivers seat, now is not the time to initiate such an effort and we will more than likely end up w/Mitt as the GOP-E selected nominee.

Perhaps the best approach for the future is the solidification and formalization of a grass roots third party effort and build from there until a large enough base is formed to challenge the elites inside the Beltway and the financial district of NYC. The Tea Party, as presently configured, is not going to be able to accomplish much nationally when it fragments into factions at election time.

I saw Ms Coulter on FOX when she made that unbelievably false statement. It enraged me so much that I immediately switched to CNN; which really has a lot better coverage of international events and is no worse than FOX when it comes to shilling for Dems or RINOs. Apparently Coulter has so totally abandoned whatever principles she might have had; that out and out mendacity is now her stock in trade.

Take care,

-Geoff

To counter Brewer today......

Plenty of Rombots like her rooting for Willard to beat Rick in Michigan and not just in Brewer’s weirdo state of Baja Utah..

But to all the conservatives here who want the liberal, Willard Romney to lose Michigan this Tuesday:

“The Rick Santorum Call from Home Program allows you and Santorum supporters from across the nation to help Rick and the campaign by calling voters in key battleground states. The program is simple, easy and can have a huge impact on the election.”

I hear ya. I doubt either one of the two of us thought for a nanosecond she would have done anything else.

LOL!

No way, Newt agrees to join the Massachusetts Liberal’s quest to RomneyCare-ize America.

The elite want Romney.

The elite is finding out that there are a whole lotta patriotic Americans who don’t give a rat’s arse what the phony, almost extinct GOP-E wants us to do.

See my tagline.

I do not think anyone was waiting to make their decision on who to vote for depending on Brewer’s endorsement.

She’s squishy on gun control as well.

She signed correctly before the reelection, but reverted to form the instant her job was safely assured: She vetoed the next common sense gun law that crossed her desk. It was a law to allow carrying on public thoroughfares that run through college campuses. There are now streets in Tempe upon which I cannot legally drive.

She is a classic case of “Conservative only when politically necessary.” IOW, a pander-bear.
