Republican presidential contender Rick Santorum is getting some good news this week out of the Rust Belt, a region that is expected to play a critical role in the 2012 election.

The Red, White and Blue Fund (RWB Fund), a super PAC backing Santorum, announced Friday it's spending $257,000 to buy ad time in Ohio, a key swing state. The investment comes a week and a half before "Super Tuesday" on March 6, when Ohio and nine other states will hold their nominating contests.

A Quinnipiac poll from earlier this month showed Santorum leading among likely Ohio Republican primary voters with 36 percent, followed by Mitt Romney with 29 percent.

The RWB Fund has already purchased ads in Michigan, where Republicans vote on February 28 and Santorum is trying to maintain a slight lead.

And it was decided yesterday that Santorum met the requirements to be placed on the Indiana primary ballot.

I hope you are right, but there is also a possibility that it has more to do with the winner of each state just being underpolled and the polls just not catching the magnitude of the last minute momemtum shift.

Romney underpolled in New Hampshire, Florida, and Nevada

Santorum underpolled in Iowa, MN, CO, and MO

and Gingrich underpolled in South Carolina.

I’m sorry, I can’t vote for someone who’s biggest qualification for office is that he crossed the aisle to work with a liberal Democrat House and Senate.

I just can’t. :(

I might have created a misunderstanding. And for that I apologize. What in fact I meant to say was, that *you* are a moron supporting a serial adulterer who had serious moral personality flaws, young man. Thanks for playing.

No misunderstanding.

You’re a cheap-shot artist, and don’t like being challenged on it.

I understood that when I read this:

Same way I feel, Santorum is a good man but Newt is the pitt bull we need right now. If Texas ever gets to vote, I will vote for Newt.
